If you did your hw before complaining about a minigame that will be a part of the MVG, the end all be all of serious content /rollseyes, then you would be aware that they already said none of those minions will provide any huge advantages.

It might be wise to go ahead and collect all the minions you can. However, it’s not like you won’t be able to win if you don’t possess rare minions, so don't worry. Also, we'll have a rating system for matching, so you'll be matched depending on your win rates.

Just from what Bayohne said here, I'm guessing "bought" minions from merch. or the Mogstation will not give you any extreme kind of advantage, but it seems each minion will have their own unique type of stats and such.

I'm hoping that you're right, but guesses have been wrong before (Housing says "Hi!"). Also, the line "it's not like you won't be able to win" may just mean "you have a *chance* of winning, but be prepared to have your ass handed to you on a silver platter on a regular basis if your lineup isn't juuuuuust right". See also: Pokémon.

Yeah, I certainly don't fault 'em for delaying it like they did. No one should be working 80 hour weeks.

(Although part of me wonders if they shouldn't have just toned down their ambitions a little. You probably could've cut one of the zones/merged a few of them together without a great loss of story coherency.)
