For an offline game, no. For an online game, yes. Online games don't work if no1 is online playing them. If you log on and most of your FC is "waiting for the next patch." There's a good chance you will be less motivated to play as well.

Couldn't agree more. Noone has yet to answer me when I ask them what is the point of getting the gear. My bf said "to help the noobs out more with our trials" which is idiotic. I am all for helping people but don't force us or try to make us passive aggressively. It took me the first 2 weeks of eso capping to realize that's all there is to do for a casual ish type player, and once it's capped for the week, the logoff button appears more often.
They missed the mark with no relics or no anything that would take a very long time to complete, people have for the most part gotten what they need, and now are just doing 1 expert roulette a day and then logging off.
Let me ask something, what good is full eso gear if you are just going to logout in it?
This. Finally a solid response. I hate how people say "take a break" , mmos don't work that way. And most of the time people don't come back.

Does feel atm that theres barely anything to do. Realistically whats killed alot of interest for me atm is the fact that lvl50 instances have no Exp and the newer ones for levelling give too little exp to grind over and over. Throw in the fact that the endgame is really shallow with "alexander" only and the boring eso grind and it gives little impetus to play. Im playing FFXI far more than this atm simply because theres too little to keep me interested in this atm. Hoping 3.1 is gonna contain a ton of decent stuff but till we know more like WHEN they expect it to land even I cant see myself having much to do for now.
Also is the fact that while I could in theory finish the relic weapon quests theyre long and the later ones still havent been scaled down for a post 50 experience.

Agreed. I log on to work on Savage with my group and I run some roulettes to cap Eso. Other than that, there's nothing else to do that I find interesting/worth my time.
I think it feels that there is not much to do at the moment. The things is this time around I'm crafting rather than lvling dps tanks or healers. I want to get crafting out of the way to actually move into lvling the rest but somehow I'm stuck due to this red scrip nonsense. I want to fully gear all my crafting classes to the brim but I can't cause of this silly weekly lookouts. Once I'm done and feel that I have accomplished my main goal I can start doing something else.
Right now I'm like:
Farm tomestones (usually 2 days)
Gather high level nodes
Gather mats for red scrip reset.
Log out
Oh, boy!

Three Ilm Knights, One Thousand Malm Road

I think they should have remade ffxi with a party finder. This game feels more like a lobby that give you stuff to do while you wait to be matched up. Call of duty with long ass wait times.
The only thing they copied of XI in 1.0 was the fact that they thought they could add archaic slowness in menus and unresponsiveness and that they thought this was 2002 and they could release a paid beta and expect people to be patient with it when the quality standards are higher nowdays.
