The only history they have with keeping old content relevant is in a game that isn't very popular in the West, whereas this game is modeled after and specifically designed *for* the West.

And that lovely dev time they're not spending on dungeons and raids is going into other stuff that I find stupid bullshit, like Gold Saucer and crafting. It's not like they're wasting it.

on-topic, i don't see why we can't have both - sure it's a little extra labor but hopefully the team can finesse it so that both sides of the spectrum can at least kinda get what they want
