Oh, Jesus. I would have kicked that healer a lot sooner. The i115 NQ stuff is in Ishgard. >.< Literally one teleport away from the AST Guild. And I think they even have accessories, armor, and weapons too.

I saw a healer once come in with full INT accessories and they were like, "Oh it's fine, I can just swap to Cleric Stance and heal since it swaps INT and MND". I was absolutely appalled. Their MND and INT stats were so out of wack that they were struggling to keep people alive and running out of MP consistently.

I always felt like I had judging eyes staring into my soul o____o Do I Fire II.... possibly throw hate from this tank.... and I get in trouble..... or do I not.... and only hit what he's hitting... and get silently judged for not Fire II-ing....? xD

As a tank alt, I always say play the best you can as BLM because we hate seeing slow DPS, BLMs that don't AoE, and "Ice Mages". More importantly it will teach them that they can't rely on 'weak' hate on mobs they don't want to hit. A good tank will learn to split their combo between mobs to keep their aggro high enough so AoEs don't rip. Plus others won't be forgiving when they get to expert roulette level if they don't know how to get good with aggro on a big pull, they will suffer. The earlier they learn, the easier it gets.

I remember hearing from someone a DRK dying to just the first 3 hits from the first mob in Dusk Vigil, they had some level 15 right sides and I think just a level 48 weapon and paltry left-sides. Yet they were a level 60 SCH main. You would think they know how gear progression is being a healer.

I agree with Selli that the healer should have been kicked from the first death, because the carrying needs to stop somewhere. To add to herpoint there is even a vendor in the AST guild that sells weapons.

I expected to have horror stories today after running 4 dungeons as AST last night but the only one that was bad was main scenario roulette. The tanks were just clueless about where to go. In Dusk Vigil the paladin was doing really large pulls but was good with cooldowns so it was stressful but not a nightmare.

I'm embarrassed to say I created the healer horror story. Trial roulette, healer was in need so I popped onto white mage and queued. Got Bismarck story, which I have maybe healed once, if at all (I don't even remember). I probably would have been ok except I got flustered when the dragonkiller wasn't activated and that was when the tank decided to tell us that the healers should grab them. So I'm trying to take care of that, and then they also want me to holy bomb because dps was low (two new people were in the run). So at one point I run to grab the dragonkiller and got knocked off the island after I activated it. I almost left right there, but decided to stick it out and show them I was just having a bad start. But someone left and then everyone followed, so I didn't get to redeem myself.

Yeah, when I'm on MNK in lvl 50-60 dungeons, I'll just spam the shit out of my AoEs if there's a mob. BS -> SP -> Rockbreaker or DK -> TS -> Rockbreaker -> Elixer Field when GL III for max damage on CD AoEs -> repeat BS/SP/Rock Breaker or DK/TS/Rockbreaker -> Howling Fist when GL 2/3, or slap PB and spam Rockbreaker, then Elixer and Howling when PB wears off, when the mob is particularly big/chaotic. If the tank loses aggro to me, then I just accept that they need to pay more attention to the whole of the mob (and I'm fine if theres just shit ton of chaos and one strays, but I mean like losing a pack to me...), not just whatever one they're hitting (I'm usually good about hitting the same one they're hitting, between AoEing... but sometimes I just tab target after an enemy dies and oopsy... wasn't same one >.>).
IE - 'they should know better by now' at 50+. If it's marked, then yeah, hard for me to ignore the order (...I like instructions).

I've only Thaum'ed low level in low level dungeons and just sort of feared getting blamed for pulling aggro by AoEing off young tanks (as I've witnessed a few times while healing >_> */soothes the poor BLMs*)... so it's moreso low level stuff NOT with FC that makes me a little unsure/insecure about AoEing

If they can't hold aggro, you can look at the Tank with contempt!! The lowlives can't do their job v:!!! (try not to eat too much dirt tho, cuz it usually ends up in your death).

If they definitely aren't AoE aggro managing, look at it this way, at least they will not go the healer's way first.

You hold back some when all the mobs have red triangle indicators. But generally it is rare for me at least, to pull aggro while AOE. Tanks know to AOE threat as much as possible with a BLM in the group.

I feel like I am getting discriminated as a role-player. Not a day goes by without me dying at least once in dungeons or thrash pulls in Alex because of my character's name...

Cause of death is always:

1) Healer too busy typing out a paragraph while in middle of a pull
2) Healer asking for autograph and/or screenshot
3) Because I have to "die" at least once
