    True. But I just don't think there is any reason bard should be overly complicated as well as clunky compared to MCN on top of more limited movement.

    Both Lead Shot and Hot Shot have 30s timers. Basically just set it and forget it.

    Keeping your dots up with IJ isn't as difficult as it is just clunky due to the short timers on dots + crit buff. Especially in multi target situations where your are swapping targets popping RoD, using buffs etc.

    Not that people don't like a challenge, but compare bard AOE to MCN:

    Bishop Turret, Lead Shot, Spread Shot (Grenado and Ammo where applicable)

    Bard: 2X Dot per add up to 3 targets before having to IJ to refresh the first three in order to dot more all while trying to squeeze in your RoD while swapping targets.

    wanderer's minuet is more of a debuff atm and to downplay how much bard should move around like it does is sad i can understand making skills launch slower and no auto-attack but the attack paw out and not being able to move with out stopping skills currently just hurting most all bards unless you do mage a lot but bards are not mages

    3.1 will bring some QOL changes , and im sure SE is aware of the issues , is just matter of time :P , i hope the rework /remove .....uhm...dont even remember the name of the skill lol , Warden's Paean (had to google it lol) , and i pray for a better casting animation (charged shot or putting the arrow on the bow .....anything but what we have now )

    btw i dont think SE will remove the casting from WM , dont keep your hopes up for that change.

    The extreme majority of ground AoEs in raids and otherwise give enough time to milk so you can stutter step, even on something like BLM where our core cast is 3s long.

    My SS is 707. Cast time: 1.42. In middle cast is 51 secs left or less. Enough to attack (thanks to move when cast bar is nearly to finish) and move.

    The thing is, on a high-latency connection you need to ALREADY be moving before the AOE marker goes up if you want to avoid it, and ARR bard is the only job that has ever accomodated that need. I fully believe that there needs to be a tradeoff for bard's high mobility (and imo there already WAS - the heavy reliance on auto-attack and lower DPS means you had to be attacking and positioning to face the boss constantly during phases where other DPS could focus on just movement and letting their TP regenerate a little), but removing it in the name of homogenising the game and making it less accessible to people who struggle with movement mechanics for reasons outside their own control was not the solution.

    Thank you. Finally someone who sees the problem with the new BRD and latency.

    I'll just add that latency also directly affects cast bars too, on top of the normal skill delay. So now we're way more affected by latency than before (random interrupts, skills not going off, natural delay in between skills aggravated by latency.)
