ok, if this game only aloud you to level 1 class, 1 craft and maybe 1 dol like most other mmo's out. would you say u even have a thing to do? in other game would you have happily made 20toons while waiting for content? the content they thrown at us so far is closer to that type of gameplay to boot. if u have lots to do or enjoying doing it u must not be playing more then few hours a week to begin with and cant' possibly see how crappy it is. yeah yeah stuff will be added. i can't wait to see it all myself too. i'ma be excited too, when it's all in our faces to see.

i'm looking forward to the hamlets and ifrit and all that stuff don't get me wrong, and i'ma enjoy playing this game ..i think. but some of you seem way too deluted ..or the mmo worlds are in trouble cause u need to leave the forums lol,(jk,jk?) u might make the devs think they can get away with shotty empty mmo's and still charge us like idiots.

There seems to be a schism between people who accept every announced change not at the value of the announcement but at some hidden value inherent in the word "change" itself and the people who have an idea of what a successful MMO should be... and can look at FFXIV and see what isn't there.

It's a bit silly to me. If someone has even the most minor concern about an announced change or a feature already in the game they get labeled as a whiner and are told to stop QQing, when to me it seems that the more we find to complain about the greater potential the game has for improvement.

There are alot of aspects about 1.19 that fill me with hope... and there are a few that just make me wince. I have tremendous respect for the whole dev team, I think they are doing incredible work... but at the same time that doesn't mean their actions are above questioning. They don't get a free ride... and if I don't think a change is justified or if I have concerns over the ramifications of how they are altering certain things I shouldn't have to combat such a large portion of the community just to express those concerns.

At least the mods don't delete every single one of your posts and accounts and usernames just because everyone else calls you a troll.

On topic, though, I agree that there are some good things coming, but many of the good changes are poisoned by simultaneous bad ones. It's as if they don't know how to leave well enough alone. And honestly, the amount of time they expend on making worthless and destructive changes could probably be spent on improvements instead. Change is not always synonymous with improvement.

And sometimes additions can have ramnifications on other systems which SE doesn't seem to understand. For example, you cannot change crafting by oversimplifying it without also influencing the demand of every item. (Coupled with the increase in localleves, then it's pretty safe to assume economy will stagnate). And another example is the job system. You can't insert jobs as advanced classes and still maintain the functionality of the armory system.

    Sometimes it makes you wonder.
