    Bikini is LV1 for all job gear, wearing bikini doesn't make you look like another job or look like higher level (which is the restriction).
    This is not an excuse, it is pretty logical. IMO you may just request create new gears as you wish instead of blaming this restriction. ^^;

    Yeah, it makes you look like other jobs. When I see someone in a bikini I can't tell which job they are.

    Also, explain the fact that for example, many classes have gear that other jobs had before. For example bard has some healer gear that only were available for healers only at level 50. This confuses me.

    Your logic confuses me, and you confuse me. Your excuses are meaningless to the content of the game.

    If they remove the restriciton, why I cant make my LV30 Axe looks like a LV60 Axe?
    and then why it can't look like a sword, or a gun?
    Because.. the lore of the job maybe? I'm only asking for armor =)

    I don't know anyone who has been confused by this yet. I researched the game before buying it, and asked my friend what what did.

    I don't know, I played everquest 2/swg where you can pretty much glamour anything even your weapon. The excuse was used before and when the developer was fired they implemented it.. and.. to everyones suprised nobody cared! Nobody in PvP was confused because they recognized the classes by their animations and spells.

    This is a Warrior...

    You should be able to.

    and then why it can't look like a sword, or a gun?
    Because... actually, you know what? Fine. Go for it! In Rift, I can costume my mage's staff into a two-handed mace or sword or axe. And it's awesome.

    Literally would not affect your game at all. Let other people have their fun. Though a more streamlined fix would simply be to let everyone glamour everything. We really don't need more items cluttering up our inventory.

    Things may have relaxed since 1.0 but they haven't relaxed that much. In Heavensward they started mixing gear between classes with the craftable sets, but it was within specific criteria (tanks and lancer got to swap 'wootz' but not lancer/tanks and archers or pugilists). More sets like this would be nice, especially if they expand their critera just a wee bit more, but an item that turns gear into Level 1 All Classes gear would be way too far. No thanks, ever.

    Why can't you make it look like a sword and a gun? Well for one, they'd either have to create separate animations for a Warrior to tank with a gun, which would take almost as much effort as creating an entire new class I'd think, or increase the size of the gun and have the Warrior hold it in an extremely odd way. One of those solutions isn't viable, and the other is silly. If the Job system wasn't locked behind one class = one weapon, then it may have worked as they wouldn't have had to created all the animations with only one weapon style in mind, but that's not the case.

    Tera has the exact same system, cloth for casters, leather for physical dps and heavy armor for lancer/zerk. And then it has the costume system with the cash shop outfits which is comparable to the outfits you just linked.

    Even when Tera allowed you to "glamour" other gear drops you were restricted to stuff you could wear only.

    I think your silly. =3
    Don't blame the messenger

    Edit: Oh right i almost forgot, while we're on the tera topic
    They don't get confused when a Tank in FFXIV shows up with a Bikini. They know hes a tank because he qued up with one and has an axe.
    This here, is heavy armor

    Actually I just want to point out current restriciton at least is consistent with most situations.
    About when and how to remove or change it, you may have read below Q&A, but I quote it here again, I quote this Q&A not only becasue YoshiP has explained for the restriction nicely, but in JP forum there is a section dedicated for the "particular request" mentioned in this Q&A as the follow-up.

    Maybe, the problem is NA forum doesn't has this section? ^^;

    The forum for particular request:

    Q: Can you ease up on the class and job restrictions for glamours to expand their use further?
    A: We’re gradually easing restrictions, but since FFXIV’s setting strives to be a real fantasy role-playing game, there is a possibility that players who are new will become confused, so we’d like to maintain certain rules for glamours such that you cannot be a mage that is wearing heavy armor.
    I’m not saying that this rule will still hold true 10 years down the road, but currently the upcoming expansion will have a dark fantasy setting and we’d like to preserve that aspect of the lore.
    However, we received a lot of feedback asking to make it possible for males to wear skirts to expand the use of glamours.
    The game is being development by a large amount of people, and if we don’t have easy to understand rules in place things will likely become a mess, so I’ve given the order to separate glamours for role and class, but if there are a large volume of requests for something in particular, there is a fair chance it will be addressed. We’d like to expand the ways you can glamour yourselves bit by bit.
