Suggestion: More HairStyle Contests in the Furture, Please

I see a lot of people complaining about not liking the current selection of candidates or lamenting at all the submissions that weren't selected.

I suggest that SE makes the Hairstyle Design Contest a permanent event that could happen maybe every two-or-three major patches.

They could have both new and old submissions in the selection pool, not allowing re-submissions of the same design.

Thoughts?

As long as they don't completely replace SE designed hairstyles, I'm all for it.

Not sure how viable it would be, but contests for bardings, glamour gear and furniture would be really cool too. But as I said, it may not be very viable.

No...some people like to draw the head as well. It's more fun that way for the artists.

i am just praying hairstyle #16 for the females wins.... its the most unique one on there i think... http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/a...9&d=1441013920 the current "top" vote is #21... its nice, but uuugggh.... there's a hairstyle that's similar to it already, minus the ponytail.... i just wish we'd been allowed to make long hairstyles... and i wish i'd had time to come up with something myself.. i can draw, but NOTHING i was drawing looked right to me ;-;

Yeah, this. This is the Eorzea universe, it has to fit in imo. Can't just go all out anime with the huge eyes, that doesn't fit.

If the main purpose is to showcase a hairstyle why bother drawing a high quality anime drawing to go with it?

But anyway, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that cute anime character + anime-esque hairstyle = good combination. People would rather see how it looks on something resembling the player models, before it's too late and the voting has ended. Not a lot to ask for.
