it is getting a tad out of hand, but there are people who are going to get really worked up, usually the younger gamers out there... but the one thing i will stand by, is there should have been a more diverse representation of the entries submitted, other than that, there isn't anything wrong with the contest, i think that is the biggest issue across the board here, or at least posts on other threads i've viewed anyway.

If the main purpose is to showcase a hairstyle why bother drawing a high quality anime drawing to go with it?

But anyway, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that cute anime character + anime-esque hairstyle = good combination. People would rather see how it looks on something resembling the player models, before it's too late and the voting has ended. Not a lot to ask for.

You have a point. If it's supposed to look good for a lala or hyur because of the way the base is drawn, But in game it looks like ass on a roe or au ra male, what are we supposed to do?

No...some people like to draw the head as well. It's more fun that way for the artists.

well that is why they make art contest so people who want to draw their character and do pretty portraits can participate
this was a hairstyle contest to pick a hairstyle that is going to be ingame If they make the hairstyle according to the
template is more easy to decide which one looks good in-game and not because the drawing is really cute
