I'm on an NA server, I run roulettes daily and I've had very, very few bad experiences, so no, I don't think so. Most people I encounter are either nice or just silent.

This is my experience as well. The majority of DF runs are spent mostly in silence, save for a hello at the start. Though there are times where, while half the dungeon was spent in silence, it takes one person to crack a joke about something stupid happening, and then the other party members start talking and joking about as well.

Seems most people are generally nice, they just don't take the initiative to start conversation in DF.

I have a feeling that the 2 different strats for soaking hand is another regional thing, just like CT's Bone Dragon. I guess in NA data center they soak the hand with the whole party? Because in JP data center, I have never seen this strat before. Wouldn't it kill the position requirement for some jobs for that?

I am one of those! I'll usually do the /welcome emotes as soon as the entrance jail goes away, pop a firework, /congratulations when someone levels up, etc. Or, if I would like tank AV and notice there is 1 or more level 50 and below, I'll speak up and ask what kind of run (full clear or not, pods spawn for exp or not). Or places like DD where there are paths off the main path, and I notice a new person message, I'll ask them if they want their map complete achievement, wants a full clear, or if anyone cares about the extra chests or only that ONE chest that has a pink gear in there.

The only real exception to this, I was running Tam-Tara with my boyfriend (we were both queued as dps, just leveling alt classes) and we get a new tank. Which I'm okay with. The healer? Not so much. The tank isn't great, it's to be expected, aggro is a little all over the place but the tank is doing their best to pick it back up. The healer is just saying "keep aggro" instead of offering any actually helpful tips. The tank dies on the first boss because the healer just.. stops healing. We finish it off, and instead of rezzing the tank the healer just stands there and does /stretch.
I tell them to stop being a jerk, we argue a little bit back and forth, and we kick them. We got a new healer and finished the run without any other problems or deaths.

If you aren't prepared to run things with people who are new or don't know the content, don't use DF. Seriously. Just save yourself and others the grief of having to deal with your bad attitude.
(Just to be clear, I mean a general you. Not anyone in particular)

Idk. I've been encountering this in 2.0 all day long. It's nothing new in 3.0.

It's honestly NA server groups. And Primal is NOTORIOUS for it. I doubt that any other groups have this specific issue.

Aether is pretty awful at times too. The majority of intentional griefers I've met in DF have been from Gilgamesh too....no offense to people who are nice and from Gilgamesh of course. Just something I've noticed.

People with unstable personalities in my experience aren't as common as griefers at least.

The only thing I've noticed increase since HW launched was the amount of people who have no idea how to play their job. DF toxicity is about the same as usual.

I've only truly had like... two or three really, really bad DF experiences. Surprisingly none have been on a mainly US server (since I play on the EU datacenter, however this may be just because I've played much, much more on Chaos than on Aether). Honestly I don't really like playing with other Amercians because usually.... yeah. But to be fair I've had nothing but pleasant experiences so far leveling my alt on Balmung.

If you try to soak that cleave with just the tanks in Savage, both tanks will die really fast. It does about 55K damage to me (WAR). Yes, most people wont be doing Savage, but its still one of those things that will just happen because thats how the mechanic is done (like, in A1 I move to place Resin Bombs away from things, even though theres no puddle and I can just treat it like a normal AoE. Other Savage raiders do that too).

Generally though, as long as ranged, tanks and heals are soaking, its fine. Even just heals and tanks is ok if you have 4 melee. But it is safer (and easier) to split with the group and just AoE heal everyone up. And once they get the timing down melee can soak and do positionals...

I find it more terrifying that people think everyone they meet in the duty finder a more or less random and anon method to find bodies for content will be agreeable people. Your putting yourself in a situation where your saying

"I need 3-23 more people I know nothing about to do things with!"

Then acting suprised when one or more of them don't agree with how you want to do things, wether that is right or wrong.
