Hairstyle voting begins!

Well they want NA/EU to feel like they had a part to play :P but anyway i do really like some of them

I don't feel EU had much of a part to play in this contest, since only 3 European countries out of roughly 50 got to participate. Sigh, at least we can vote...

My pick was female number 9. Simple, doesn't clip at the back and it goes with all kinds of hats without looking stupid. I would have preferred shoulder-length open hair with some curls/volume and no bangs but sadly there weren't any.

I don't play male characters but I picked number 22. Medium length, well groomed and simple. Again, there were no simple and long open hairstyles so I had to go with something close to it. Number 13 would have gotten my vote if it had no bangs.

The point of the contest was for people to submit styles they (in the singular) wanted, have the dev narrow down 50(25 male/25 female) designs and finally have the community vote on those. But in the end it was about what the submitter wanted to see and have a chance at getting into the game.

Also, you are forgetting this game is played not only in NA but JP and EU right? What NA players may want may be very different from what JP and EU players want.

I don't know what the heck I did when I quoted, but I was thinking about answering why female #8 is so popular. Hence my "because the drawing is good/cute". Please forgive my inability to correctly click a quote link.

Male#16: the color is very misleading. Besides, it's so close to #15 that I don't know why they picked both.
Male#22: you probably never saw a guy with mid-long hair with a headband. I've seen plenty. So it's probably cultural difference here.
Male#23: agreed on that one. It looks boyish at most (which is why I put it on a Roegadyn). It will be probably okay on a Lalafell or a Midlander at best.

I think it has to do with the flowery tie they used to pull the hair to the side and the facial drawings. It makes for a good overall picture, but as people were mentioning earlier it might not fit as well with the different character models that we have in game, much less different races.

For males I honestly couldn't find one I liked so I just voted for the pompadour (Male entry #21).
One can never have enough pompadours.

I'm mostly disappointed by the lack of longer (at least visibly longer) hairstyles. I personally like longer hair, but everything is somewhat short or tied, which we already have plenty of.

16: Female (I would go with number 2, but that looks like a losing bet in this horse race, better to go with the highest number one I like most I guess) I like braids and no bangs or at least a partially open forehead xD

I am feel the females got screwed a little though considering 2 of the hairstyles are like replicas. They could have picked more variety.

I picked No.23. It has a high density of votes, and out of the others with large amounts it might look decent on my Roe. As he does have a similar sort of hairstyle on him already.

Yeah, definitely. As of right now, #21 is first, #8 is second, and #16 is third. I absolutely abhor the first two because they'd be bland and unflattering in-game - they're cute and all in the art but actually modelled I don't think they would be. Especially #8 - don't get me wrong, it's an adorable anime girl hairstyle, but it would fall flat 3D and in the game's aesthetic in my opinion.
