Let's go ahead and get rid of swift cast as well, Real skilled players hard cast everything.

A better solution is to make ALL offensive spells from the healer come from their MIND stats, and not INT stats.... This will solve the dumb "stance dance" exercise and simplify healing process... And make all healer offensive spells ALWAYS hit and land its full potency.
Many people prob don't remember this, but prior to the 2.0 launch, Cleric Stance was WHM only. It was a relic from 1.0 and was never even considered into the x-class system. It was only after a ton of SCH players bitched they couldn't DPS as well as WHM that it was changed.
So, in essence, like Enhanced Protect and Graniteskin, Cleric Stance was another item of identity that WHM gave up at some point. In fact, WHM has given up more skills and traits for the sake of balance than any other job so far. Food for thought :P
Maybe by the time we get to 4.0, they will overhaul the entire class + jobs system and get rid of any traces of 1.0.... and start new with all jobs in the first place. They can keep the "every 5 levels" quest intact and just change the wording. Really dislike 1.0 with passion lol, but I understand they have to keep a lot of it since they were pressed for time when relaunching FF14.
How would SCH players complain about this when SCH itself didnt exist until after 2.0, WHM Cleric stance wasnt cross class because there was no other healer in the game previous to ARR's launch and the only other job that COULD make use of it was BLM who would by the way it used to work just get it as a buff with no penelty...Many people prob don't remember this, but prior to the 2.0 launch, Cleric Stance was WHM only. EDIT: And before you say anything to try and dispute this, as someone who played the game from the first stress test alpha where they had us all running through the shroud playing follow the leader (only available to JP SEID holders) you could cross class clerics stance onto any class (not job mind you) during the beta though the swap over would only hurt you (there was a very long discussion on the merits of doing a MND build for THM with clerics stance on THM on the beta forum after they enabled starting from other cities than gridania)

When I say launch I refer to the actual launch, not counting testing (bad habit from being a game developer). After alpha the ruleset was adjusted on which jobs could access which abilities. After the level lock was lifted in the later beta to allow for job leveling, SCH initially could not use cleric stance. It was not included in the ruleset. This means that, at some point, it was consciously left out upon ACN development. It was not left out due to ACN having it's own version, as this would have been calculated into the equation with the role shift. We can then deduce that, at one point, SE didn't view DPS potential as vital enough to develop said skill.
I am unsure as to where you received this information from however with the official launch having taken place on August 27th 2013 and posts debating clerics stance use on SCH stemming from as early as September 2nd with no mention of any changes to the ability in any patch notes between the 17th (Beta phase 4 and the first time Arcanist was playable) and the 2nd I find this doubtful at best. When I say launch I refer to the actual launch, not counting testing (bad habit from being a game developer). If I recall, it wasn't in any patch. It was a little change they added in during a maintenance downtime sometime in early September or late August. I don't have my old screenshots (the SSD I played on back in beta died the next spring) but I was able to find this post that mentions the same thing I remember happening (so I know I'm not losing my mind).I am unsure as to where you received this information from however with the official launch having taken place on August 27th 2013 and posts debating clerics stance use on SCH stemming from as early as September 2nd with no mention of any changes to the ability in any patch notes between the 17th (Beta phase 4 and the first time Arcanist was playable) and the 2nd I find this doubtful at best.
The exact quote isIf my memory is indeed not failing me (sucks getting old sometimes), we can assume the change occurred sometime between August 27th and August 31st.
Anyways, (since the conversation has spun beyond my original intent) I merely stated it just to show that it's necessary for some classes to sacrifice more than others for the sake of balance, or at least pleasing people.
