Change Player Commendations

Disagreed. Commendations are fine as they are. If you could give a commendation to everyone, it would defeat the purpose. Try being the change you want to see by handing out commendations to DPS more and encouraging others to commend good DPS.

Here is my commendation checklist:

Was someone particularly friendly/nice/funny throughout the run?
Did someone go out of their way to unlock extra content for the lowbies? (Optional treasure chests)
Did non-BLMs/Summoners focus fire their DPS?
Did a DPS have particularly high DPS?
Did the melee DPS remember to LB?
If someone made a mistake in the dungeon, were they apologetic?
Was it a newbie who was taking advice into account?
Did the healer save me from certain death?
Was someone very helpful about explaining fights?

These aren't all the things I give a commendation on but some common ones for me.

Did the melee DPS remember to LB?

In most scenarios, it will result in a faster run if the mage uses LB on trash. The LB is 2/3 potency roughly of melee, so if you hit 2 guys it will do 4/3 damage, 3 guys will do 6/3 (2x) damage than the melee would do for the run. Now I guess you need to take in to account animation lag taking away from damage, and aoe damage is higher as well. However, as a SMN, i will often tri-d, painflare, bane, swift-shadow, LB (assuming enkindle is on CD at that point, which it often is). This puts most of the LB during my GCD and while Painflare is still cooling down. I'll often use that on 5-10 mobs giving a 10/3 or 20/3 total damage increase over the melee LB.
