I see this response a lot, and it's an honestly ignorant one, and I mean that in the least offensive way possible.

Quick insight: As a progression raider, you and your team take interest in maxing out the potential of your character/job. As a player, you are expected to bring all you can to the team to forward progression, so not having that 190 gear and "just waiting" is not really an option. It's kind of like saying "no need to run in that marathon, if you walk, you'll get there eventually." Not a bad mentality to have, don't get me wrong, it works for some people. But myself and hundreds of other like-minded raiders are sprinters.

It's no more ignorant than wishing a casual game full off casual players was tailored to savage raiders. Btw, I know full well what progression raiding is like. None of what you said changes the fact that you choose to take part in this competitive marathon voluntarily. No pain no gain, as it is in any race.

Saying that, I actually understand where you are coming from. Doing repetitive chores all week when you are already putting a lot of nights to progression is tiring. However, trying to solve it by screwing over the majority of players is not the way to go. Both of your suggestions would have a negative impact on normal mode raiders. It took me a whopping 2 minutes to come up with a solution that wouldn't. Make Alex normal gear scale to 170 (or another value) in savage mode and remove that scaling in a future patch. If WoW's programmers can make individual gear pieces scale depending on the instance, then I'm sure SE can pull it off too.

All of this thread you have repeatedly accused people of not being able to see things from your point of view, and yet you have put no effort whatsoever into understanding casual players or into trying to find a solution that would satisfy all parties.
