PLD dps needs to be buffed, current dps a joke

Having one magic and one physical tank is absolutely pitiful design when your bosses only use one type of buster. Flatten/Flare breath was a much better design.

I also posted in another topic (Yes, I tend to post a lot...but my work is boring ) some design idea where you could "lock" a boss in one type of busters, so that you'll adapt your strategy depending on the tank you have intead of the other way round.

You can also simply fight two bosses at the same time, with one being magical and the other being physical (It could have been done with the Oppressors). Having them switch periodically would also force tanks to swap, which would offer something else to do besides popping your cooldowns at the right time.

But these are only the first 4 floors, no one knows what the next is going to be. It could be reverse of what is going on now.

This. A million times this. It wouldn't be quite as bad due to DRK dps etc but this really needs to get through to the devs. So bad.

And yes, I like some of the ideas about one of each type or locking damage, while I don't care exactly how it is delivered it would be nice to use this as an opportunity to make interesting content rather than a limitation on parties.

You don't seem to have the faintest understanding of the tank meta or how PLD's low DPS isn't compensated for with significantly better defenses so I think I'll just go with "stupid".

Except if they're played as aggressively as a WAR or DRK and have slashing rebuff, either from WAR or a NIN, then they're still competitive to the point that the damage difference is negligible unless you're pushing for clears while under geared.

The only thing PLD needs is an adjustment to enmity to allow them to use their other combos without fear of losing aggro and an adjustment to clemency since as it stands the skill is almost useless due to getting interrupted or having the person you're healing getting topped off before your cast is done.
