- As long as your character (as a whole), meets the gear requirements you have earned the right to wear the gear. Gear continues to scale down in stats when off class/rank.

Our characters are more than the tool or weapon they currently carry. It seems like moving to all Required Rank/Class gear essentially makes our single character into 18 different characters without the hassle of logging on/logging off. Instead I'd like to see gear that acknowledges that our character (as a whole) has met certain rank requirements/achievements.

This serves multiple purposes:
- Demonstrates a character has achieved certain game milestones (rank, quests, NMs killed, etc)
- Allows flexibility in how you wear gear that you have earned the right to wear
- Allows switching to another class for a short period of time without having to run and get your class specific gear set
- Allows innovating/experimenting with builds that use off class gear to support the build

Feedback? Thoughts?
Actually, I'm surprised I didn't think of this myself. This is a pretty good idea. It grants a benefit to players who have put in the effort. It maintains our ability to have customized looks. It grants the opportunity to gear a class into a new or self created role. It cuts down on wasted inventory space. But most importantly, it adds a sense of achievement for having earned the right to use specific gear.

I would have to say however, I agree with Stats diminishing off Rank, I do not agree with stats diminishing off class. If you earn the right to wear the gear you earn the right to its stats on level, despite your class. The only on level stat diminishing that needs to take place is the fact that any given class may require different stats than the gear itself offers.
