Not to be rude, but just the fact that you think you would be able to clear all of coil in duty finder is amazingly precious.
Get some friends who know the fight and do it. Preferably unsynced.

I'm not. I just want to que it for practice and to see what what it's like. I Never said I could clear it in Duty Finder.
So practice with friends. Party finder is also a very easy option if your server isn't low population.
As for Ultima that I saw someone mention earlier, if you're doing alexander savage, you more likely than not (and I would hope) will have a static, and the static can take the 2 minutes it would take to go in unsynced and clear it. So that's not an issue.
You had a point.... until you brought up coil and Ultima Bane. Coil, Ultima Bane, Moogle Ex, Crystal Tower are not required to move on. Only the main scenario is required. Through the main scenario you unlock expansion (level 60) content.
Of course I'm never against adding more rewards to old content.
Optional or not, he has a point. Just because a new player doesn't have to do Ultima Bane/Moogle Ex etc doesn't mean the option shouldn't practically exist at all.
I'm on your server. I'm going to bed here pretty quick (it's like 2AM for me right now so I'm winding down for the night), but I leave myself AFK in game 24/7 so shoot me a friend invite if you like. I've been looking to roflstomp some old Coil anyway for DRK tank credits, as have a few friends from my raiding static. Hell, earlier we were talking about farming some unsynced T13 for glamour bits. I wouldn't mind going for the old CT/ST/WoD either. :3
Yeah the content isn't mandatory for progression, but I can understand at least wanting to see and experience it.
You can pick up a decent level 50 weapon in Foundation (i115 NQ, not great but it'll do) but yeah Poetics weapons are nice. I've been kinda wanting to go farm for one myself so I can have a decent Machinist weapon at level 50.But if I want to gear up, so I do need to do this content correct? This is a vertical gears progression game afterall. For example, I have been trying to get an Unidentified Tombstone right now for a Poetic Weapon for a weeks already with no Luck. Everytime I que, nothing. I put up PF and nothing.

I try will again tomorrow with PF and ask a few FC Mates. But my point is still valid. New players getting into this game will be very hard to enjoy this game and catch up.
Enough with forcing two year+ subscribers back into content they're sick of. No one wants to, and dangling fresh carrots won't make us.My suggestion is to make old Content worth doing for high level people. A good example is to make Twintania Mount drop in Turn 5. They would have get so many people do this and actually revive this old contents again for a very long time. But instead, they make it a Recruit a Friend Campaign. While look good on paper for good money and their business, but it killing old content at a rapid rate and make SE seam greedy with this method.
Your screen grab shows you exactly what the solution to your problem is. Level a tank class to clear the MSQ and never queue for more than 5 minutes at a time. I did this recently for an untouched character and cleared 2.3 - 2.55 - 3.05 in a fortnight, watching all the cutscenes and reading all the dialogue. For the really heavy stuff, there is almost always unsync glamour grinders around reset time. Rather than sit on a DPS class and expect the solution to come to you, make your own.
Fair enough, I missed the part where you attempted to make a PF, but my larger point still stands. You're going to have to be persistent if you want something. You had to be persistent to find groups even when the content was current, you have to be persistent now. You can't expect SE to force others to play with you.Re-read what I said, I did put up Party Finder and no one join. Also, you can't expect new players to join in and find a good FC and make a bunch of friends. I'm saying some of the old contents is needed to progress, so either take it out or make it worthwhile high level players to do.
And this is just my opinions and suggestion. I know new players will enjoy the game more if the que isn't this bad or lock behind and can't progress.
And there you go, you reach out long enough and you'll find someone willing to help you.
With this character's death, the thread of prophecy remains intact.
There's nothing there to 'catch up' with though. In that week it has taken you to get a tomestone, you could have leveled to level 53, done a few sohm al dungeon runs, and gotten a weapon that is just as good. But if I want to gear up, so I do need to do this content correct? Level 50 content is only there for fun now, and most people who are interested have already seen it, sadly, so there's not much fun to be had.
