Something have to be done about the long Que for Low Level Content

I got an invite from a friend to give Final Fantasy XIV a try from Recruit a Friend Campaign. But seeing Final Fantasy XIV is a Verticale Theme Park Progression game which required you to finish older content to move on, I'm now stuck and can't progress my Character anymore.



Every old content I que is now dead or will not pop because no one ever do this old content anymore because there is no incentive to do it at all. SE need to do something about the old content because new player won't able to progress and just end up quitting the game. If they want more new players joining in the game, it need to be fixed. As a new players, it getting harder and harder to catch up when Old Content is dying at a very fast rate. It is overwhelming for new players.

I try to Que for Binding Coil so I can get to 2nd and Final Coil. Then Ultima Bane with no such luck. It sometime can take up to 3 hours or more and nothing. I try putting up Party Finder and no one would join. Ask FC members and no one answer. Ask friends, but I don't have 7 friends.




My suggestion is to make old Content worth doing for high level people. A good example is to make Twintania Mount drop in Turn 5. They would have get so many people do this and actually revive this old contents again for a very long time. But instead, they make it a Recruit a Friend Campaign. While look good on paper for good money and their business, but it killing old content at a rapid rate and make SE seam greedy with this method.

Coil is HARD. Doing it in Duty Finder and actually getting through pretty much never happened.

What everyone does now, and what I will recommend that YOU do, is you get a group of friends out of your FC, and go in unsynced at level 60 to roflstomp the place. Or if you're brave, do it synced for the full experience.

The problem is that it isn't just Coil, it just old Content that people never do anymore because there nothing in it for them. Thing like Ultima Bane, Moogle Ex, Crystal Tower, etc will never pop or get any people to join even if you put Party Finder up. A good example that SE atleast try to revive old content is by putting Pony drop in Primal Ex. Even though those have long que and less people doing it, it still isn't as bad as other old content that doesn't reward anything to high level players.

Having friends or fc mates to help is just a blanket to cover up the problem. Not many have that many friends or good fc members that willing to help out. People also don't like hopping from FC to FC to do this contents.

They can't really build an incentive into optional content.

Q's have always been long for most things as a DD as well. The coil has always been like that in DF though. On my WHM or PLD DRK classes a dungeon, even a new one, pops in less then 5 mins, on my NIN though same ones can take up to an hour.. And that is new content.

So then make more friends, find a good FC, or simply use Party Finder to build your own groups? It's far easier for you to find like-minded players to tackle the old content you want to do than it is for SE to find a way to force people to do old content. Pony Farming, for example, barely impacts queue times for the Ex Primals because people farming them build their own parties and go in as a premade. The same generally goes for people looking to clear the older Coils, whom I see making PF groups for on a regular basis on my server. If you want something you need to put in the effort to get it. Reach out to other players, don't expect SE to drive them into your arms.

You could undersize party with your friends/FC members.

Re-read what I said, I did put up Party Finder and no one join. Also, you can't expect new players to join in and find a good FC and make a bunch of friends. I'm saying some of the old contents is needed to progress, so either take it out or make it worthwhile high level players to do.

And this is just my opinions and suggestion. I know new players will enjoy the game more if the que isn't this bad or lock behind and can't progress.
