There is nothing wrong with altering a craft system to make it smart and efficient enough for all other people wanting to engage in crafting. Have one main craft to make all repairs for self is efficient. It wouldn't hurt the economy in any way if you're doing your own repairs, so what argument do you have that supports this claim? Matter repair materials will always fluctuate depending on the availability of who's selling it and what retainer is selling it, thus explains my supported theory less population = less needed materials for repairs, creation, or skill up.
