It does but I don't see what harm in creating an idea using one main craft to craft everything else. All I see are people's replies on keeping it as is just to make an easy buck.

Yes it affects it and by what amount depends on how bothered you are by it. I used to roll around with rank 40-50 gear on my 20 archer because cure 3 and sacrifice 2 would just always keep me alive so damage was never an issue, though now that is probably a different story.
As for the actual numbers and percentages in differences im not sure, mainly because the stat system is so broken that theres no massive change. But when that is fixed, 1.19 i think it is, it will, again, be another story.
imo its a stupid and pointless system that i would rather just be scratched as it has absolute no meaning, does nothing to drain money from economy and is just a pure annoyance.

While we're at it, grinding takes too long. SE should make a level up button so I can just push it 50 times to cap my jobs. Oh, and lets have a movie player so I can watch all the cutscenes too.
It's comments like these are disrespectful just by being sarcastic. I'm not asking to diminish crafting, I'm sharing an idea to make it smart. Level a craft, and repair other items without having to level every single one. No one needs to deal with:
50million gil loss.
Time sink.
Waiting for repairs.
Leveling every single craft to multi-repair.

I apologize, I was completely under the impression that you did not want to have to work on other crafts in order to repair your gears. I would have thought that the level up button would be a middle ground. We can keep all the crafts yet have an easy sweat free way for everyone to get their crafts or battle jobs up. After all, I'm sure it's much easier for the devs to code an sp reward trigger than to rework all the repair conditions.
Pfft, the easiest fix is to remove all the gears. People will not be bothered by gear grinding, e-peen, rank/level/class/job locked vs optimal, unbalanced stat and end-game boring raid.
