you could never kick or vote abandon at the BEGINNING of the instance in the first place... Idk why people say that and said tools state that a certain amount of time has to pass first. But ppl keep saying at the beginning thou. The alternative is that people will leave an instance immediately without a penalty because they got the dungeon they don't like. From a tank and healer perspective, this means nothing to them since their queues are incredibly short, while leafers will be stuck waiting for their story mode dungeons to pop, or DPS being stuck with longer queues.
They sit at the beginning and wait for the 5 mins to pass. Again it is mostly a tank/healer problem. If the tank or healer won't move for 5 mins then you aren't getting very far.
Purrfectstorm I was waiting for someone to mention speed runs that I noticed. SE have designed all the new dungeons to prevent any sort of speed run. Not to mention the questionable nerf to whm and blm from speed running. I don't mind your suggestion about lost bonus, I just figure that is harsher then 30 mins. I have so much other stuff to do in game on my 60 I don't bother with any roulette and most dungeons on Tuesday only. I actual like the idea they keep popping into the same instance until they finish it for the rest of the week.
No, but you can leave at the beginning of the instance, or at any time of the instance really. If you wanted to opt out penalties for leaving a dungeon, what's to stop them from leaving at the beginning? Leaving midway honestly isn't any better than leaving at the beginning for the party itself, especially if it was a tank who did so.
If you leave and the party wasn't full, you do not get the penalty. That brings in the other perspective of people who use their vote kick to wrongfully kick someone so they can leave without a penalty, and it still doesn't change the fact that a dps would be stuck in queue lines again, especially if it was for a specific dungeon or trial.
