I partially agree with the OP, but I also think that many of these points were spoken already in other threads, or simply ignored. I just wanted to give my two cents as well.
Skill bloating: I still don't see a whole lot of issues right now but considering my skillbar is almost filled with all sorts of skills (http://imgur.com/6Jy9VOw) I can see this becoming an issue in the next expansion.
GCD: I'm probably one of the few people who actually think this is a good system, but not because it's good but because it feels like a good hybrid between a turn based and an action based combat and in a generation where all games attempt to make an hybrid of such a system (Ni No Kuni, as much as I liked the game, failed to make an hybrid system. And so did FFXIII and many others), this might work the best. But I agree: the system is annoying and if you're a melee and pvp you'll be spamming "Target out of reach", despite having his or her butt on your face.
Job distinction: I do agree on certain parts yes. One of the main reasons why I wanted to play FFXIV is the possibility to cross class skills to make your job a better one but as it turns out even the Devs are slowly dropping this system, but you still require specific skills anyway. But yes I kinda wish I didn't have to level up another class just to pick one single skill that without it would be impossible to do any content (as a tank, I don't have many issues aside Provoke, which was a lvl 22 only).
I can see however that they're slowly making fixes though: for example as a warrior I got a personal TP recover skill and better mitigation skills, so there is to that.
Stats: totally agree here. While you usually want BiS, if you don't do endgame content you're pretty much good with the highest level item around. I wish that the customized stats weren't just a crafting specialty and I hoped that I could customize some stats like I wanted, because I have so much parry but it's completely worthless that I can't do anything but just to keep it (and even the eso axe has parry!).
And I wish indeed that the stats could give us some sort of output: I have 1936 defense but how much damage reduction is it? How much parry% is 573?! How much % id 673 accuracy? I shouldn't go to a site to translate those stats, just saying.
Gear: I don't fully agree here because the best gear is always from the tomes and raid, and that's usually how it is in most games. Still, I wish that we had more purpose on redoing dungeons: in some games I re-run dungeons for taking some items that I could use or achievements (which I hate, but I'm sure it could boost some most hated dungeons for achievement farming, or whatnot), but in this game is mostly for glamours. So it's 50/50 here (or 70/30).
DPS: I agree on the parser being required here, since all content is essentially about dps checks. But at the same time, I don't like the fact that it's -only- dps checks. In most mmos I play there are fights that aren't about a constant dps check and I wish more fights weren't just about outputting your own damage. I'm not saying that there aren't dps fights in other mmos though: I'm just saying that the point of a parser it's because most fights are based on dps, and if we didn't have to constantly check on a dps we could easily focus less on maximizing the dps and more about actual tactics.
If nobody agrees, then I have to agree to disagree with you.
