Theres a thing called anima

Do it on your freetime if you wants to enjoy the scenery, since you have so much time to watch the scenery. The novelty of riding airship/boat is gone after the first time. There are alot of scenarios in FFXI which makes alot of people facepalmed because of this dumb as *** rides.

There are times when i got back late from work, people are already gathered at einherjar spot but to get there you need to ride a boat to that whatever town from whitegate and makes the other players waits even longer just for the sake of me, in the end events could get pushed 1hour behind schedule.

I am not sure where is the fun or how do i find the decency in keeping the others waiting because i wanted to enjoy the scenery, but each to their own.

If you had a "long day at work" like your examples say.. a long day of work is usually what? 9-5? Which is 8 hours. Isn't that 2 anima you get back? So teleport. Don't insta port the ferry/airship ride. That's just silly. You pay to fly across the world to skip it while other people are still on it? That doesn't even make sense...

Really people? What happened to patience and immersion in games.

So they are saying that people will still be able to insta warp with ariships....Jesus christ I wish they would stop pandering to the "I want it now" crowd.

I'm still praying for a forced trip of some sorts, it doesn't even have to be long just...something. Otherwise why not just cut anima cost for town to town to 0 and be done with it and just stop wasting time with airships?

From another thread and has a good point. People should really stop and think about this. There are other ports around Eorzea and if that means insta port... people will be all over the place instantly, kinda reducing the need for anima.

Good for you that you can conserve alot of animas and love walking so much across the world, do you also play solo most of the time? for me, i don't have much anima to conserve, i have to teleport to actually do contents without wasting other people's times.

Again, they are having both options available, If you have patience and are so in love with immersion in games, go ahead and ride the airship. Why can't both options co-exist? It made both sides happier, at this point, people that is against the idea of instant-airship are just whining for the sake of it, there is no justified reason.

2 Anima is not enough to do anything but teleport to/from two Aetherial nodes.

I don't consider immersion to be a several minute ride that for 99% of players will become a time to use the bathroom/feed the dog/read something online. Giving us the option to get there quickly cuts out the fat and, like I said in the other thread, it gives them an excuse to make the ride time lengthy or even varied based on what sort of event happens on the rides since people wanting to use the airships solely to get from point A to point B will opt for the quick route and wouldn't have their time compromised by these events. You are given the option to play how you like and rewarded in a way you will really appreciate, and we are given the option to play how we like.
