Honestly, I can't disagree. Tanaka made it clear that he was going to release XIV on the PS3... He also made it clear that our input didn't count for shit and seemed to have an eventual Chinese release in mind if his game systems and naming conventions were any clue. But anyone that played 1.0 knew full well that that game engine was never going to run worth a damn on the PS3. This is the mess Yoshida inherited, and honestly I'm glad he didn't try and develop 1.0 into his final product, Crystal Tools was not a good engine for making an MMO for the PS3.

Actually they didn't lie 2 months after releasing 1.0 on PC they made this statement in letter about the game saying the game in it current state 1.0 was longer being planned to be release to Ps3
