I disagree here. The more I look at it, the more I realize how badly-designed Living Dead is. One idea I had for it is to make it a sort of second HP bar. Turning it into this:

Summon your inner darkness to take damage in your place. Expires after 10 seconds or when your inner darkness' HP reaches 0.
To explain, when you click on this cooldown, you gain a second HP bar to represent your inner darkness. While the effect is active, your own HP doesn't take damage but can receive heals. The second HP bar cannot be healed but still gets mitigation benefits from other defensive cooldowns as well as Stoneskin/Adlo. So it's not an invincibility per se but still a strong defensive cooldown. This also makes it useful instead of an ability that hinges on arbitrary bullshit to be worthwhile.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.

    Sole Survivor :
    - Dark Arts effect : Restores 400 TP instead of HP.

    Living Dead :
    - If you're successfully targeted by a raise spell before Walking Dead timer runs out, the effect will fade.

That is actually a good idea. I think it needs to be given something a bit more to be actually viable considering the cost of the raise spells.
    -Walking Dead
While under the effect of Walking Dead, most attacks will not lower your HP below 1 and you are a valid target of Ascend, Raise, and Resurrect. If, before the Walking Dead timer runs out, Ascend, Raise, or Resurrect is cast on you, the effect will fade and you will be restored to 50% hp. If Ascend, Raise, or Resurrect is not cast, you will be KO'd.

Please for the love of all that is holy, change the stance already. The sephiroth stance does not work with a claymore style sword and it looks ridiculous. That's my one and only thing I can't stand about drk, I can deal with every other one of it's weaknesses but I can't stand that stance. At the very least give us the same battle stance as the first boss in aethero.
Actually Regula's stance is more in line with what Sephiroth would use(at least, i have seen pics where he holds the blade like that). A two handed sword can be held in a variety of ways.

The female version of the stance is far more believable. The male one defies physics even by Hydaelynian standards.

Regula holds the sword in the Cloud style stance when he is standing still, I've even taken screenshots that I wanted to use for a thread about the same topic. I can deal with the Cloud stance, but I really can't stand the Sephiroth one (for the style of sword drk is meant to use).

I should of specified on some abilities with "haven't thought of an idea" instead of "same"
I do however, really like your idea for Living Dead.

I like the sword stance a lot personally. Let's not pretend physics is a thing in this game. We have flying fat chocobos and sky whales...

That stance is ridiculous. I think it would have fit more with SAM that they were considering making. I think DRK should wield GS with one hand. Kind of like Nightmare from Soul Calibur series.

well, to be honest, i find the DRK battle stance to be... decent (popping all the CDs in anticipation of stones being thrown)

    here is the "Sephiroth Stance"

remember that he is left handed, he grips masamune mainly with his left hand on the top.
In this stance, he turns so his left side is facing the camera, sword pointing forward, left hand in front, right hand in back, no crisscross
    heres our DRK stance

we are the mirror opposite since the game assumes we are right handed
right side facing the enemy, holds the sword so the right hand is in front and left hand in the back.

apparently this is an authenic medieval longsword stance as per google (albeit with an overexaggerated 'longsword')

    the "hanging right" stance

to me, it looks as if most of the drk actions can be carried out authentically, just with a regular sized 2 hand longsword.
