    Bored at work Dark Knight ideas

    I'm bored at work so I decided to come up with ideas that I think would be neat for abilities that Dark Knight has to change to. I personally feel some things should be adjusted with Dark Knight but this is more for fun and not OMG DRK is broken.....


    Hard Slash: Same

    Shadowskin: Same

    Spinning Slash: Same

    Scourge: Same but add Dark Arts: Add Hp draining effect

    Unleash: Same but perhaps add into the trait that makes it a free cast "when unleash is used a 15% chance Abyssal Drain costs no mp"

    Low Blow: Same

    Syphon Strike: Same

    Unmend: Same

    Blood Weapon: Converts dmg to HP instead of MP and Dark Arts allows it too be used in Grit

    Reprisal: Same

    Power Slash: Change the Dark Arts to Power Slash is allowed to be used at full effect without being in combo but then has a recast timer.

    Grit: Same

    Darkside: Same

    Dark Dance: change Dark Arts increases parry rate instead of adding evasion.

    Blood Price: change to Sacrifice an hp regen(from scourge) to gain an amount of mp and prevents you from being able to gain an Hp regen for a set time.

    Souleater: Same

    Dark Passenger: Same

    Dark Mind: SAme

    Dark Arts: Same

    Shadow Wall: Same

    Delirium: Add Dark Arts effect: grants a mp regen.

    Living Dead: Same

    Salted Earth: Same

    Plunge: Same

    Abyssal Drain: Same

    Sole Survivor: Same

    Carve and Spit: Change to having higher potentcy naturally, increase recast slightly to balance and add dark arts effect that Reprisal becomes activated once Carve and Spit completes its attack.


    For All:
    Potency, Mp Cost and Recast Times to be adjusted as necessary for balance.

    I might be on my own on this, and I expect to be completely lambasted by the community at large, but the cool down on reprisal has to go. It's silly that a counterattack tied to the infrequent nature of parry has a cool down.

    I read an idea somewhere on this forum before that sounded nice, which was to make Reprisal an oGCD ability you can use at-will and parrying just reset the cooldown, kind of like how Low Blows works.

    The cooldown is probably there to prevent you from applying it to multiple targets.

    I'd like to see them change Enhanced Unmend to Enhanced Unleash - "Grants a 15% chance that after casting Unleash your next Dark Passenger or Abyssal Drain will require no MP."

    I personally think they should just change dark dance into a guaranteed parry on next hit and reduce the cooldown to 30 seconds. That way you could have a guaranteed reprisal every 30 seconds at least. Dark dance is okay as is for mobs, but that's not usually where you need to be popping defensive cooldowns anyway if your healer knows what they are doing (or if you pull more than you can handle).

    Rework all the parry jazz into something else because it's a pretty bad stat.

    Few ideas I had for DRK. to make it little more fun =)

    Blood weapon - Consumes HP to deal 10% more damage.Can not be used while under the effect of Grit. (235 hp per auto attack, same as the gain we have for the mp)

    Living Dead - Brings forth your other half. All damage received heals the player while all heals received damage the player, after 10 seconds you fall under a weakened state, all damage dealt is 20% reduced for 15 seconds.

    Grit - Just add that it drains MP. Can not be used while under the effect of Blood weapon

    Darkside - 15% damage increase while doubling the Drain effect of Grit or Blood weapon.

    Sole survivor - Add, Under the effect of Dark Arts, grant targeted party member with 20% of your HP/MP.

    Carve n Spit - Add a combo Hard Slash > Spinning Slash > Carve n spit. Does 280 pot while absorbing MP (roughly 554) Under the effect of Dark Arts. increased pot to 600, no MP drain

    Dark Dance - Grants 20 seconds of Parry.

    Reprisal - Grants 300 TP. Under the effect of Dark Arts Heals the Player for 1200 pot

    Souleater - Change. Under the effect of Dark Arts places an absorb Bleed effect on target for 20 seconds. (nice twist to help stay alive)

    I only have one desire for drk, it's the only thing I want for the class after getting it to 60 and running some dungeons and Alexander normal:

    Please for the love of all that is holy, change the stance already. The sephiroth stance does not work with a claymore style sword and it looks ridiculous. That's my one and only thing I can't stand about drk, I can deal with every other one of it's weaknesses but I can't stand that stance. At the very least give us the same battle stance as the first boss in aethero.
