Your guess is as good as mine, but really blocking some items from gamers who didn't play when the events occurred just because you don't want to spend money on the items yourself seems incredibly childish.
No one is block shit, nor has the power too. The only child here is the one crying to SE to go out of their way and cater to cause they want a virtual item noooooooow.
The vulgar language, the end result of not wanting someone to have the item, and the way you typed "now" are making you seem pretty childish here.
If "shit" gets your feelings hurt this badly, I can't imagine how you function in the real world.
Did I say I say I didn't want them to have the item? I am flipping their argument of "being childish" back at them. Since instead of understanding something is limited and getting on with their lives (like most adults), they throw a tantrum; lashing out saying that people want to "block him" from getting that item.
If you read the beginning of the sentence, you'd see I told the above poster they themselves were acting like a child, so later on in the sentence, I emulate a child to emphasize that fact with the "nooooow". Thank you for realizing that was suppose to sound childish; that was the intended effect.
I function just fine thank you. Cursing has its place, I do it all the time. But using it in a sentence where you're trying to claim people are acting childish is self-defeating.
You don't want them to have the limited time item, and when people ask for a way to obtain the item you shoot it down and claim they're whining rather than making a request. Clearly, you don't want them to be able to obtain the item at all.
Clearly, parody is not your strong suit. Claiming that wanting the limited items is childish, and then defending their limited access through demeaning chatter is also childish.
The idea that there shouldn't be Cash-shop items in a P2P mmo is a bit more defensible, but at the end of the day I don't exactly care that much. Like an adult, if something is worth my money, I'll spend it and make the purchase. Nothing has changed regarding the service I'm purchasing from Square here, (game time). And if it was, I'd voice my concerns on the issue, and if that didn't change the situation, then I'd just stop paying for the service.
In short, I don't care about the cash shop, as there isn't anything they took away from the game time that I already paid for, and others purchasing digital knick-knacks doesn't affect me or my purchase.

After a year of people creating new threads when there were countless multi-page ones before it; it's gone from requesting to just whining. Heck, this was created when a "give us Lightning" thread was already on the front page. Also nice strawman you got there, want some matches to help burn it down? No where did I say I didn't want him to get the item. I could care less if SE brings back Lighting again. Maybe, just maybe it's because I am sick of people who whine to the devs to change the game to suit themselves; be it to nerf content or get some item that is out of their reach (be it too hard, or in this case limited). People can't accept that something may not be obtainable and have to have a tantrum when they can't get their cand--- err item. If the devs wanted to release it again, they would have and maybe they will in the future, but spamming the forums with post after post isn't going to do anything.I function just fine thank you. So you do not want others to convince "the devs to change the game to suit themselves." In this instance, that would involve them obtaining the items. Thus, you do not want them to be able to obtain the items, as that would require the devs changing the game to suit these players. I don't see how I misconstrued your point in any fashion.
If your point was to complain about people complaining, then fine, but it doesn't come off that way to me.
