You think there isn't content in this game that is made to eat up your time? They have an entire relic quest dedicated to that.
Thank you. I did not see this issue. And if this was an argument previously in this thread then I overlooked it. That is saying that they do not add in JSE every gear patch (which I'm sure won't happen). There just needs to be a way (to me) to atleast gear up a couple of jobs at a time.
I only chimed in to this thread for the "unfair" posts.... Really that is just the world we live in now I guess.
Regardless this argument against definitely holds water (a whole glass lol) as to why the devs wouldn't want class specific caps. Just wish I could at least gear up a tank healer and somehow a dps at a time.
Edit: with that said I still agree with the OP and some others here. SE really Ned's to come up with something other then lowering tome drop rates to keep this game fresh from patch to patch. I would run so many 60 dungeons every week if I could gear up multiple jobs with the current tome. The whole be anything u want in this game is a semi-sham lol. Yes you can but you can't put the effort in to be the best at everything.

Likewise with yours? If your content is solely around gearing your character through eso tomes, then you have a really small scope of what you can do out of this game. Which is fine, but the game isn't catered to you specifically as much as it is trying to get a "theme park" concept with multiple content. I'm (futility) working on my crafters, gatherers and (futility) trying to get my ADS mounts through seal rocks, so capping eso tomes are far far from my only content and cap.
You can still gear up multiple classes, just not with eso tomes or raid-tier gear (though honestly speaking ilvl190 is still good enough for alex Savage entry)Thank you. I did not see this issue. Punished? What exactly is the punishment?
You might not be getting as large of an advantage as you want (and let's not try to pretend that you're not still getting an advantage from playing more since it lets you do anything and everything that doesn't involve the capped currencies faster), but to try to characterize that as a punishment is ridiculous.
Reading comprehension is tough. What? Belts and Acessories are shared between tanks, healer, ranged dps and casters. Belts are still divided into Aiming/Scouting for ninjas, Maiming/Striking for DRG/MNK. Some tanks opt out to use strength accessories in end game. And this is assuming that all future tomestone gear will be job exclusive (mythology and esotarics) instead of shared (soldiery, poetic and law).
Why not just level an alt if you wanted to get more esotarics for a different class per week?
People are complaining that the ability to get accessories/etc. using other jobs at lvl 60 would be unfair - but all jobs at lvl 60 can get any of the accessories.
It's an MMORPG. Grinding/farming it is part of it. Pretend otherwise all you want.
There's a world of difference between being punished for playing more and not being rewarded for playing more. An example of being punished for playing more would be if after 5 runs of a dungeon, you had to pay tomes to enter it again until the next daily reset. SE wants people to gear at a certain pace, and this is how they're achieving it. Tome caps just help keep the gap between the hardcores and the not so hardcores a little more manageable.
In which case, your suggestion has nothing to do with the context of OP and would completely defeat the point of what he's even suggesting. Why bother with eso caps per class if they can still buy stuff that aren't meant for them anyway?
