Feel like I'm posting here too often but here's another fun one...
It's my first time healing in Stone Vigil and we get a tank who says he's new to the dungeon. He's wearing the blue crown and belt piece from the level 45 PLD quest but not the pants or shoes (wearing Mythril Flanchard [takes both boot and pants slots]) and mostly up-to-date gear. The kind of stuff I'd expect a player to be wearing while leveling up.
We kick things off and the first few mobs go OK, but by the time we hit the first hallway, the one where the drake comes down to breathe fire on us for the first time we wipe.
Yep, we wiped in the first hallway.
The tank, while using Flash and his Halone combo (occasionally) was utterly unable to hold aggro to anyone in the party forcing the Dragoon to assume duties as a secondary tank in many situations to keep the aggro off me. We ended up wiping two or three times on our way to the first boss as some of the damage was just coming in too fast for me to heal everyone at once, especially given how hard those patrolling Aevis's could hit. We did make it to the first boss eventually and after buffing everyone up we moved in, only to find that the tank decided it would be fun to spin the boss constantly. He had done this with a few of the mobs but stopped partway through after we brought it up he shouldn't be doing that. After losing one of our DPS and having raised the other only to lose them again, we barely manage to clear the first boss with myself and the tank still alive.
The entire time the tank said nothing, remaining completely silent aside from his opening statement at the start.
We wiped once or twice more approaching the second boss, and at this time I noticed the tank was not only not using his CDs but he also wasn't in any of his Oath stances. I tried to get him to use them but, as ever, he said nothing. At this point our Dragoon drops and we get another Dragoon who's even better than the first and is willing to stick through thick and thin. Aside from some close shaves due to having to heal people a lot the second boss wasn't too bad. Had some problems with typhoons covering the cannons but we all managed without anyone dying.
We didn't lose anyone on our way to the third boss until we reached the last group of mobs before his door, that pack of three Aevis, wiped twice on it but this time something even worse than all the other times happened. After the second wipe I lost power for a moment, shutting off my computer. Took me a few minutes to come back but I was relieved to find that my party hadn't abandoned each other or me and we carried on, this time making it to the door.
We opened the door, talked as we waited for the tank to finish the cut scene and...
Wiped on the final boss three times.
First time the tank used one of his Oaths! Sword Oath to be exact, and then blew Convalescence and Rampart while running to the boss instead of during the fight.
Second time we tried going so far as using the auto-translate tool to tell him to use Shield Oath.
Third time we just gave up trying to help him.
Fourth time we cleared but again, both DPS died during the fight and I was running around almost out of MP so I couldn't raise either of them (already raised one of them during the fight).
Every time we fought the boss the tank would sometimes run into the circles of Frost the boss cast and almost always made sure he was standing in the fly-by breath attack.
In retrospect, we really ought to have kicked him but it took both DPS a long time to get a dungeon and it took me about 10-15 as a healer to get a group as well so we just trudged through.
The experience was quiet shocking for me though, I've only had four group wipes before this, two of which were in Titan with groups of people where everyone was new.

Was definitely an interesting healing experience for me (and probably the scholar too).
