Point me to the lore that says a White Mages spell power is based on their clothing. =) I would love to see your lore sources.

in everyday life you can wear everything you want, yep, do that means you will be able to move like you want that another problem.

about the tank in loincloth, why not... i means it don't add clothes but take out them haha, but i'm against the idea to take out restriction of class or level simply because you want to look like a badass warrior as mage or the inverse... a bit of coherence is more than welcome.

oh by the way, what you wear everyday is more civvies clothing, not really jobs equipement, in the game they exist and are generally level 1 and no class restriction.
Medieval Full Plate, the kind they actually used for war is actually LIGHTER then a heavy robe. It would give you more movement and move faster then a man wearing a heavy robe. You obviously don't know armor, a US soldier wears almost twice as much armor in Kevlar then a medieval knight used to wear.

Sorry, but a mage can wear plate armor fine. It is not THAT restrictive. THAT is a Myth.

It was just uncommon and very expensive. Only the wealthy were knights. However that expense does not relate much to Final Fantasy. Metals and Craft are much cheaper.
