1) You are over exaggerating as hell, it wasn't nearly as long.
2) They CLEARLY said you would have to have MSQ finished till 2.55, so there is no reason you should feel SCAMMED.

Doing this reduces your credit score as well, but they let it known early and full well that everyone had to do the story progression. This wasn't under handed dealing or unfair practices. But good bye you will surely be happier somewhere else.
1. Each person plays at their own pace. Is it beyond your imagination that it may take someone that long to complete the original MSQ?
2. No they didn't, unless you were already playing the game. The marketing team didn't make any attempt to tell new players.
Not to mention they made the MSQ easier now by giving you gear at every turn and leveling up is easier too. But oh well, thanks for sharing!
As someone who just came back to this game that left from 2.0 OP is not exaggerating. It took me and a friend 3 days, that's 3 days of no life-ing it. Someone with an actual life I can see it taking a month or close to a month.

This "endgame is the only game" thing really gets me angry, honestly. People just jump over value for the sake of being 'current'. The throwaway mentality of the day and age really is rearing its ugly head to me of late.
"sufficient progress in the main scenario" isn't very descriptive. Considering I had saved the world by lv50, one would think I have made sufficient progress.http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/heavensward/
less than 5 min google and read ._. . if you still not get a clue what that mean, google more

early access of the expansion is the same as the expansion w/o early access itself
that s why I said to google more, didn't I ? I link as to answer the thing you said about SE don't mention about the MSQ on any of their site.

It took me like a month but that was because I was enjoying the story, watching all cutscenes, leveling WHM in between, AND had to grind gear at a few points because I got ilvl gated.
And I am nowhere near a no-life player, I play at most 5 evenings + 1 day per week.
So yeah, it shouldn't be more than a week or two of EXTREMELY casual gameplay, if you don't care about the story, if you care about the story, then there is no rush.

If that's the reason you refunded, it really IS a shame. Not for the game, but for you. Have fun on missing out HW.
