Ok so your character was there hmm?
So can you tell me what Urianger told us when we first saw him and how he first appeared?
How about the first time we saw Dalamud and watched it grow, did you see that first hand or through screenshots?
Or the first time we saw the Lambs of Dalamud, do you remember where they showed up and where they took us?
Also I'm sure you remember When Nael Van Darnus first started showing up what he was offering us & what he was searching for.
(waits while you go look up what happened... >_>)

No matter how many videos you watched or posts you read online about what happened your character is not an Original Warrior of Light & and never got to truly experience what is was like to see this story unfold in front of you. By asking for the exact same tattoo you are pretty much saying we (the 1.0 players) don't deserve to show how we survived the Calamity & saved Eorzea. "Look to those who walked before, to lead those who walk after..."

What's wrong with having a different tattoo, why does it HAVE to be the Meteor one?
If you want to RP you were in 1.0 fine go ahead doesn't effect me any, but you want to have a mark that is suppose to identify players from 1.0 when you aren't one, no ask for another kind of tattoo.

All characters created from 2.0 onwards are introduced as they first arrive in Eorzea, meaning your starting city isn't even your character's birthplace as far as the game's concerned, let alone that your character was in Eorzea during the calamity. If you're so much as RPing that your character is a native of Eorzea, you're already creating an alternate story contrary to the lore of the game. You might as well demand that we have a pay option to have alternate cutscenes and NPC dialog that treats us as natives of Eorzea. "Feasibility" aside, the concept is the same, and has no bearing on the amount of "suspension of disbelief" required in order to do so without a pay option to alter the game's code for your character.

If roleplayers can RP their character as a native without having to rely on the game to back them up, surely the same can be done with the meaning behind the tattoo.

It's not the fact that it can't be seen, it's that there are so many people who keep asking for the Legacy only perks to be made widely available.

I definitely agree that we need more body tattoos that aren't specifically tied to a certain clothing option.

The only thing you paid for was a cheaper lifetime subscription and your name in credits most people skip(and to support a game you had high hopes for). Anything else anyone who played 1.0 could have gotten without paying a dime. Even if you played 1.0 and you decided to make a new character you don't get to keep the tattoo. "Legacy tattoo" is just a name. It has nothing to do with Legacy status.

Legacy tattoo is for people that played 1.0 whether it was for a day or a longer period of time, if you did not play it you don't get that tattoo. It not like some glamour item, anyone that a final fantasy fan most likely knew about the game and probably played it at some point during 1.0 life stage as a mention at start of post. Generic MMO players or others that couldn't be bothered to buy the game for $10 (which that is what walmart was selling it for at one point) don't deserve to have the tattoo.
