    No the tooltip for Asylum just says what I quoted. Also I haven't been on my SCH/SMN in a while but I don't remember those tooltips saying anything like that actually?

    Just read the other players replies, if what you're saying its true then SMNs wouldn't be able to stack their shadow flares ... and SCHs wouldn't be able to use 2 SSs at the same time (even though the effects won't stack, they're still there)

    The tooltip for Asylum says the same thing as the tooltip for Shadowflare, which says the same thing as the tooltip from Sacred Soil.

    The restriction is that any single character can only generate one 'area' effect at a time. Asylum and Sacred Soil stack just fine.

    I've read my WHM's tooltip and it doesn't say anything about "used by the same caster". Which makes sense since Asylum is the only area creating action (aka GtAoE) that a WHM has.

    Edit: I haven't tested it, I'm just saying the tooltip wouldn't make sense with what you're saying.
