I feel OP's sadness, but as everyone else has realized, if you aren't having fun in a game, quit. Not only you're playing a game that isn't fun for you, you are also spoiling your future experiences in a more updated game. People are rushing like madmen to have all sort of crafting and capped levels on everything to just act smug in endgame, but the majority of the time spent in a mmorpg is leveling up and being a low level, actually achieving things. If you do it all now while it's not fun to do, you're gonna regret it later.

I was hopeful that this would be on track a year later, but most of the aspects that made my blood pressure noticeably rise are still a part of this game to this day. Now they're making chocobos and materia systems before they tackle this lousy UI and the horrible time consuming shopping in addition to making gear repairs incredibly frustrating. Their priorities seem lodged in a rut trying to please people for a small bit of time while the dinner on the table goes cold dealing with restrictions on game play to make sure I'm not having too much fun.
I've been playing the game since CB, and while it still needs work, I think that it is in a much better place than it was even 4-6 months ago. I think the UI is much better than it was months ago... and I think it plays very smoothly with a controller.

I don't feel that the Market Wards are that bad at all. You look for the item, it tells you not only where it is but how much it costs, you mark it and go to the ward and buy it. If I know exactly what I am looking for I can do all of that in about a minute if not less, so I don't understand the 'time consuming shopping' that you speak of.

As for the repairs, everyone complained about all the items needed for repairing and how much space it was taking up so they change it. Now people complain about the new system... this is one of those situations where people are just going to be unhappy no matter what so, oh well. I didn't mind the old system, I don't mind this new system... as long as items get fixed and I can keep going I'm good.

All in all, I'm sorry that you do not enjoy it and I guess you need to decide what is best for you to do. Either take a break and come back later to see if it's better or decide if you've given enough time and you want to move onto something else. None of us can help you with this issue, and we can't make up your mind for you.

I'm going to keep with it until we have to pay, because at this point I'm not loosing anything by staying and I have a good group around me. I'll make my decision when they announce payment's are starting.

One last thing... CHOCOBOS!!!! *luv* Who can hate the fact that Choco's are coming into the game?!

Basically their tweaks have been for battle/action bar. Upcoming tweaks like the ability to place macros on action bars, the ability to set job ability sets, the ability to have multiple action bars up at once... again these are tweaks to the action bar, the menu UI still need a hardcore overall.
Ah, I see what you mean now. With all of the stuff you mentioned on your list, it does make the AI seem inconvenient. Most of your grievances regarding the UI seem easy to fix, though. Maybe they will address it one of these days.

    *looks confused*

I don't think I've questioned your love (or hate) of the game before. Although one thing I noticed about the folks who are very vocal about the game is they seem to be very confrontational. It's cool to be passionate about something, but if they're going to be smug, disrespectful, and pretentious about it, I don't think it's going to be received well and, probably more importantly, it'll just get ignored. Not saying you're like this, but it's something I noticed from a handful of people so far. But anyway, maybe you got me confused with somebody else who questioned your feelings for Final Fantasy XIV? My evil twin brother? Perhaps my goblin confidant?

i stooped playing like 2 months ago when i found that the next 2 patches wont include AH, Mail system, LFG system.

grinding SP is not my cup of tea any more, and the repair system is too much time consuming, some times i rage shut down the game because of it.

i might come back when they start talking about these things.

Gotta grind sp to get to the good stuff though. Just camp near a crystal or gate that is near your lvl and do behests and kill stuff in between. Between doing that and sidequests and the story quests as you reach the appropriate lvl the sp for those really start to lvl you up. Biggest being rank 38 and rank 46 storylines that net 36k and 46k sp respectively which if done as soon as you level up, the reward will get you halfway to next rank which is nice.

True but ppl are being more harsh than they need to be on the whole UI deal. Targeting is still by far worse than UI ever could be. Nothing worst than fighting a bunch of mobs with party members and you have targeting set to Enemy yet it still cycles through your party members slowing down the pace of the fight. Auto targeting mobs that are aggroing or hitting you would be outstanding if they could get it to work.

Nice see you around patch 1.61. It seems most of the issues that made you quit are the fine tuning issues which is a strangely refreshing reason to stop playing. Stay tuned perhaps Yoshi P will cover that in Letter from the Producer XXXV.

I agree. I search , mark, warp, buy, and im back to the city and on my way. Perhaps you and I are using it correctly instead of hanging on to the Auction House idea. I loved the AH in ffxi but the only downside of this game not having one is that I dont bother trying to sell stuff. I usually give it away or npc it for less gil when i upgrade.
