I was having a pretty good time. I guess I understand, and respect why you want 'some' of the changes, to have fun, but some of the other ones seem to have side effects that, shall we say 'weed out' certain types of players, and I've been quietly reading some of the posts in other threads, and it's really apparent. Seems like a very 'military industrial complex' with maybe a dash of 'values.com' that swept on through, and while I will never cry 'doom' until 'after' anything is released and I log in and look around and what I can and can not do anymore, there does seem to be additional agendas at play.
And that's fine. I don't have a voice in this. I have hope that things will work out, but I won't know until I can see it instead of hear about it. If nothing else, I've had a good time playing on and off over the past year, tooling around, so I'll still have those memories, and maybe a screen shot or two, but I haven't given up yet![]()

Im still waiting for the good part myself. I think FFXIV has the potential to get there, but in my mind it hasnt yet. So why do I play? Because I have hope this game could still be great. Then again maybe I will be disappointed and eventually have to leave due to fundamantal disagreement with the devs about the direction of the game, or maybe a new or existing feature will just be too stupid for me to invest anymore time into the game. I have yet to determine the verdict, but after todays Producer Letter, I feel that I should know after 1.21.
same here , I can't play more then 1 hour a week and I don't think the 1.19-1.21 patchs are going to change that .
everytime I think of playing FFXIV , I always think that I'm going to solo ,play classes that I don't like to get their abilities , repeat leves , go fix my equipment again , and when I need to go buy somthing then I have to use this mw system , and then I change my mind.
I really think that removal of the repairing system , and adding FFXI AH system , search function like FFXI , and jobs would make me play everyday.

I'm so tired of this durability repair bullshit. Like i said a million times it is only a turn-off to playres and a time sink/outdated farce. No one enjoys being penalized for playing and it has been made apparent recently on the JP forums they hate it w/ a passion. Yet Yoshi outrights refuses to remove it. I grind for 1-2 hours my weapon is nearly done for i do 3-6 leves my weapon is nearly done for. I help some friends camp a NM for a hour......my weapon is nearly done for i cant do shit w/o having to repair something 2-3 times a day sometimes. People that post here saying ahhhhh the repair system is fine wont be saying so when so much gil isnt in circulation anymore and there pocket books are running dry. First surplus exp and now Repair and SE still hasnt taken the hint or refuses too admit the major downsides/ systems that hurt there prospective paying customer population.
I would just take a break. Come back at 1.21 then you should have alot to do. ^^

This actually would make delicious copypasta.I don't know why I still try to play this. All the friends I made are gone, I can't begin to find anything fun or rewarding to want to do. I was hopeful that this would be on track a year later, but most of the aspects that made my blood pressure noticeably rise are still a part of this game to this day. Now they're making chocobos and materia systems before they tackle this lousy UI and the horrible time consuming shopping in addition to making gear repairs incredibly frustrating. Their priorities seem lodged in a rut trying to please people for a small bit of time while the dinner on the table goes cold dealing with restrictions on game play to make sure I'm not having too much fun.

What do you want me to do about it?

Do what I do. Play Dragon Nest or other f2p mmo inbetween. My uber gum drop mushroom bard in Eden Eternal Pawns :P
