Glamour changes please.

I'm coming at this from the motivation standpoint. When I was a level 1 scrub back in 1.0, or back in FFXI, everyone running around in their cool looking armor was a huge factor in pushing me to level because I wanted to look like that. I was overjoyed when I got my Battlemage's robe in Brayflox's Longstop because it looked so cool, and that lasted me until level 40. Very few game pieces are truly ugly outside of the subligar, and below 50 you can get away with wearing slightly lower level pants and everyone will understand.

This doesn't change by letting people glamour at low levels. You still have to level if you want access to all of looks, because you have to physically have the item in order to glamour it. But dropping the level requirement at least gives us some level of control over how we look.

Yes, because appearance has EVERYTHING to do with game-play and travel. Can you come up with something that is part of the topic? Or should we just not even talk about Final Fantasy anymore?

Yep. You have to physically own the item to glamour it. I think these people have some magical idea that giving glamour to lower level will suddenly give them a full set of savage alexander gear. From the posts i've been reading anyways!

There are plenty of things to encourage me to level up: increasing character power, new abilities, new instances, story, different gear looks. Outright access to a basic customization system does not need to and should not be one of those.

No you shouldn't. Leveling will happen if you're playing the game. There's no reason to rush it. In fact, it's a far better game if you don't rush past it. One of the biggest problems with the game is the way so many people try to level past it rather than playing it at the level they're currently at.

...so much hate for the lower leveled gear o-o; A lot of the lower level stuff is fantastic, some even better designed due to their simplicity compared to the higher stuff. Just wish there was more variation and less "ugly phases" as someone towards the beginning of the thread put it.

As for on topic...I don't really see the problem if the rules on how to glamour stayed the same (or is specifically stuff at your level and lower). People probably already use FC chests to ship Thavnarian and other level 1 stuff to their alts to wear while leveling up/rp-ing in between leveling. And you do hit phases in leveling to 50 that you get stuck with the same type of look despite changing gears for quite a few levels (or at least casters/healers did).
