Personally I just want the reward to be worth the effort. If your going to make it top tier weapon quality then the time put into it should be equal to the time and effort it takes the average player to clear the top current end game content.

That and to hell with RNG. The light farming system was good. The drops and alex and atma can all go die

The thing about the light farming system is that now that's likely the step choking progress on anyone trying to work on zeta with HW. So much of the current new content gives no light, and in order to get lightnfrom older content you need to be of appropriate lvl....good luck finding people that want to spam Garuda Hm with a 50 cap for 300+ runs or dungeons. This my current issue trying to finish nin zeta (obiously for glamour) so I don't really care if I don't finish it, but it is still a roadblock.

As for new relics, I'm just hoping they're not gated behind red scripts

For me the light phase was the worst because I knew exactly how many hours I was going to have to put into it before I even started. I love how people are arguing about what kind of skinner box they want to be stuck into though lol.

Number 1 is probably going to the most likely scenario.

Followed by this weapon is no where near strong enough for the work it takes to obtain.

It will be horribly grindy and weaker then the Raid weapons. So the casuals will complain, then the hardcore will complain it is a vanity piece. In the end no one will be happy.

Personally, I'm fully expecting that system to be implemented in Patch 3.2 or later.

I won't be surprised if it took until 3.2 or high to obtain Egi-Glamours

If my suspicion is right, Egi-glamour may also be the method where players may obtain Levi and Ramuh Egi being Glamours that replace the current summon.

For example, Ramuh Egi replace Garuda Egi for Egi-Glamour.

and maybe Ruby Carbuncle, Obsidian Carbuncle, Amber Carbuncle, and Onyx Carbuncle as well while also given SMN the ability to switch back to the Arcanist's Carbuncles.

No I dont think the relic will be weaker, they have to put something to give is motivation. I'm almost sure that the relic will be ilvl210 or 215 with personalized stats

If you didn't learn from relic 1 you won't learn from relic 2, months of work for a glowstick, and maybe it won't even glow that would be funny.

nah... that is quite minor compared to the "Why does Relic 2 require Eso instead of Crafting Weapon?! You could have made Crafting relevent but turn Relic 2 into a Tome Farm Quest! Farming Esoteric Tomestones is too easy and only gate behind it is the weekly cap!" or "People can get Relic too easily because they just have to hunt for Hunt Marks for their daily Hunts!"

If the non-glow version is decent looking or better looking than I expect it to be than I'll certainly put effort into getting it.

As of now Relic seems more of a Vanity thing to show they achieved something.

Depends on what is in 3.1

A Dev rep did reveal a while back Hildibrand Season 2 is in development.

Hopefully Season 2 episode 1 is among the 3.1 contents because that would mean we just may get the chance for that /adjustglasses emote so many people wanted from the Hildibrand Series.

I mean 3.1's bringing the relic chain and a 24-man at least, in addition to the "fluff" content that's confirmed like the vanu dance. If Hildibrand season 2 is there too, it's a fair amount of stuff for a patch.
