Reclaim? Too much bs

its not the 90% thats bs. its square RNG in general that is. things that are beyond the realm of probability happen all the time. failing 152 times to get a first overmeld in? HQing 6 times in a row out of a 11 stack quicksynth? taking 172 hours to get 3 atma? (ok maybe that last ones believable atma WAS nonsense). the sheer amount of improbabilities that happen to every player is strange at the least. either there's tons of hidden variables and we're never seeing the true percentages (unfair and totally not beyond the realm of belief), or the RNG is really just nonsense.

I believe the op. The amount of times I have failed multiple times in a row with a 90% chance is just ridiculous... They should give us the real percentage which would be around 70%.

But ofc i read other threads claiming reclaim is wonderful so im like ok i'll give it another shot, these HxC crafters know what they r talkig about.

Then that happens and i noped out was like nope nope.
Its like winning the jumbo cactaur lottery of Bad RNG.

It's near impossible BUT its STILL POSSIBLE.

So honestly im just like se really needs to change tooltip to 50% success or something cuz honestly it feels like a 50%, or even less than 50%.

Im just glad i learned my lesson before attempting to craft a main hand/ off hand or a body piece. Cuz atleast if i NQ I HAVE SOMETHING vs. Not having anything at all.

But damn these crafts r so nerve wracking now, i feel like im diffusing a bomb thats waiting to explode the moment i press reclaim.
I DO NOT want to make my 2 star crafts a test subject for reclaim's success rate lmao.

I wouldn't use reclaim on mats. Going into the actual gear recipe with HQ mats is just a perk - not a necessity. Sorry for your bad luck I was doing favors next to you for awhile today so I can imagine how much that would suck.

Was pretty lucky and got a lot of wyvern warts (31) & dragon warts (2)
In 6 favors. ( still have another 9 )
So i hq'd 2 of my adamantite ingots and blew up my 3rd extra.

But yea i crafted in goblet so if i failed i can cry alone and no one will see me rage xD

Reclaim is such a trap lol, it makes u feel safe then bam it hits u when u least suspect it xD. The reason y its so bad cuz atm THERE IS LITTLE TO NOOOOOOOO supply of red scrip materials on the mb. No one would sell these unless they r just gatherers. But ofc they will be priced sooo high tht not even the rich would deem it of worth, unlike ixal sealents where the casuals of casuals could sell it at a reasonable price. So blowing up things via reclaim didnt sting as much. But here its like a slap in the face as you HAVE TO GO AND GATHER THEM AGAIN AND AGAIN. Which ofc is based on ur favour node rng.

Well, the RNG is the problem, and i dont mean RNG in the sense most people here use the word.

RNG means random number generator, and thats the root of the problem, you cant really make a computer generate a truly random number, I believe the devs use a system where the computer chooses a number from a predetermined list of randomly sellected numbers, coupled with a timer which makes the milisecond that the RNG is chosen affect the position on the list chosen.
Overall this system means that over time results will aproach 90% of reclaims and 80% of hasty touches with SHII succeed.

However this system seems to be prone to streaking, where the same result is drawn multible times in a row.
Personally i have seen reclaim fail 3 times in a row too (and im nowhere near the 1000 uses where this statistically shoul happen, not even 50 i believe).
Even worse, i had hasty touch with SHII active fail on me 8 TIMES IN A ROW statistiaclly that shoul happen 0.000256% of the times you use HT 8 times.

U know ur doomed when u HQ at 0 ( 1% ) all ur good luck for a year lol.
But yea hopefully ppl with badluck will get some good luck to even out the bad streaks.

omg.. i used reclaim on my ilvl 170 bsm tool after failing too many HTs. It did work but after reading this it seems like the risk i took was higher than i thought XD.

Haha I always do big crafts by myself in Goblet. Luckily I was able to HQ both the offhands I crafted yesterday. I did the void nut area in sea of clouds yesterday. Wow that place is awful for favors. So spread apart and the concealed nodes pop so far away. It's brutal. Think I came away with 12 nuts in a full stack of 5 favors.
