Reclaim? Too much bs

So i was crafting some yummy expensive materials ( adamantite ingot, grifin leather ) & doing those snazzy rotations tht have a failsafe if ur unhappy with ur iq stacks. But ofc rng said nope and made HT fail like 4 times so im like i\\'ll try again so i reclaimed. After i blew up my synth, reclaimed failed me.... So i was like ok thts just being un lucky so i shrugged it off and went to go and make an aurum regis creasing knife. So i had wrong skills on so i pressed reclaim and blew up the synth. NOPE reclaim failed me again. So its like wtf ok np i\\'ll just make another 1. After making it i melded and went to go make griffin leather. So after messing up 1 part i was like ok i\\'ll reclaim. Boom* NOPE reclaim failed again ^^

I was like r u kidding me.. Then ofc i went to go craft a hempen yarn and pressed reclaim it failed too lmao.

Soo honestly at this point i rather just NQ the damn things then press reclaim cuz honestly we all know that 90% success is bs.

I just called it quits and logged off from all tht bad luck. Too heartbreaking to see it blow up like that.

You really had this much bad luck? It sounds like something you make up, no offense. Either way, the odds to fail a 90% chance 4 times in a row is 0.1^4= 1 in 10k so it'll probably never happen again. I'm sorry RNGesus was evil to you.

I've had it fail 3 times in a row before, on 2 sperate occasions.

I know RNG is RNG, but I've had enough astronomical runs of bad luck that I wonder if that's the case. Having something that has a 0.000001% chance happen once in your time playing the game is fine, but having multiple instances for a single player just seems suspicious.

reclaim is BS. In fact, I am pretty sure the higher the recipe level, the worse it gets. I recall making the old artisan offhands.... reclaim would be failing 3 and 4 times out of 10, and usually 2-3 times in a row. This wasn't a one-off either, this same pattern repeated over the week or two I spent getting the mats, etc and making one or two in a day. These tools were also exceptional for giving you an NQ even in the 90% HQ range (a few of my friends got themselves some free NQ versions, I ended up giving away something like 5 of them).

I have long suspected reclaim is sneakily designed to be yet another time/mat/gil sink.

ive missed 6 shots in a row at 95% mining, its very possible and happens more than you think.

It happened man, in all my time in crafting. I only had reclaim fail twice in 1 day . I was making an artisan apron back then and boom exploded with reclaim, tried a few hours later with an artisan file and it too failed reclaim so i was so scared of reclaim after. I told myself i'd do my best so i wouldn't have to reclaim but when shit happens its either reclaim or nq or nothing at all. I brought reclaim for that synth TO PREVENT losing my materials but it failed me.
Its so rare imo for it to fail tht much but it CAN happen and it did ;-;
Im so salty right now that i had to make a thread cuz i trusted reclaim after it failed me on my ingot.

Never trust reclaim xD

I'd sooner take a 70% HQ chance than use reclaim lol.

Especially for these mats, as you can still HQ the finished items without all HQ mats.

If things are going so badly with the RNG that you want to Reclaim ... what makes you think you can trust the RNG to stop being so bad to you for Reclaim to work?

I know, not a sense of logic behind that ... just superstition.
