You can delay automatic updates at least with any version*but* home.

There is no turning them off, or manual like before. Not if you want to keep security updates, because they will shut yours off eventually.

Or you can type "services" without quotes in the Search the Web and Windows Bar. Click on the first search result that says "Services Desktop App"
Scroll Down to Windows Update Double click on it. Drop down menu set to Disable Then click Stop service

Restart the computer. It will no longer check, download, or install updates (any updates ready to install prior to performing the steps above will install)
To prevent those from installing, or to roll back the install use this tool provided by Microsoft

Unfortunately, after upgrading to Windows 10 the launcher no longer works. Just shows the launcher version and goes to "Not responding" after a few seconds.

Only reinstalling seems to work for one login, then it's broken again.

I've been looking forwarded to upgrading (based on the reviews saying that DX12 will improve gaming performance) but I'm going to be waiting a few months before I consider doing it. I don't like upgrading to a new OS as soon as it's available when W7 works fine for me right now and I want to avoid any launch bugs.

5. Horrible, OS is slow and chunky. Takes 1.30-2 mins to boot to the login, where 8.1 would take 10 seconds to land me on the login screen, everything has delays, opening start menu takes 2-3 secs, every app takes 2-3 secs to start, even the calculator. 8.1 was everything instant 99% of the time. Reverting back to 8.1 today.

6. Did a clean install from the start, nothing saved, format etc etc.

And i know its not my system. 8.1 ran perfectly flawless. If anything it feels like a downgrade to 7 again, with XP boot times.

i won't be upgrading for the time being, since inputmapper doesn't work properly with it right now due to questionable use of service manager making it not operate properly. Once a workaround that doesn't require me to turn of windows services is found maybe i will. :3 i love my DS4 controller too much to give up win 8.1, in which inputmapper works just fine~

Nope I haven't and I don't see a reason to upgrade untill I see some benchmark comparison of Win 7 and 10.
I don't really feel like upgrading stuff, troubleshooting the new win 10 etc. (which will be most probably necessary with some programs and stuff) for 5% performance boost (for example). No need to rush it.

does it let you use it in bluetooth mode? or are you only playing wired?

inputmapper works on 10 wired, but sometimes i like to unhook the cable.

Me neither - doesn't offer anything of interest to me, and everything I have works just fine on my current os. If it ain't broke... ;p
