Of all the info in that picture you looked at the pictures.
Can you at least read a bit?
They (microsoft themselves) straight up say in those explanations that it doesn't matter if you turn stuff off because they simply turn it back on again.
10 is the same crappy flat UI as 8 with just a tad more shadow so it isn't as flat as 8. 10 is a mess, just like 8. Windows 7 is a super clean ui and looks nice. Games run the same and 10 scored less in the benchmark for ffxiv, though that can be a driver issue till nvidia irons them out.

Crappy = bad. You CAN'T call it bad just because you don't like how it looks. You can call Metro bad because it's made for touch-based systems, you can't call a window system bad because you don't like that it's "flat".
Feel free to call it ugly, but that's just your subjective opinion, and shouldn't really concern anyone who cares about functionality over looks.
And yeah, the game runs smoother on 10 with DX11.
Crappy is a correct term and I can call the UI bad all I want if I don't like it. That's just a dumb thing to say, "You don't like the look of the UI, but don't give negative feedback about it". I didn't call the functionality bad as this was mostly a response on the UI.Please, use correct terms.

I've been getting random occurrences of the game not crashing outright, but kicking me back to the desktop while continuing to run. I click the icon to bring the FFXIV window back up and I just get a black screen. But the game is still running (I can even do things even though I can't see). Eventually the game does crash, but I've gotten pretty good at doing a /shutdown and letting the program close gracefully while blinded.
My guess is the graphics cards are doing a hard reset and the game can't figure out how to keep going once that happens. I'm running an SLI configuration (two GTX 980s) and Windows 10. Anyone having troubles with Windows 10 and SLI?
Obviously you haven't taken the time to discover what's new in Windows 10, because the UI is WAY better than 7 or 8. Much more keyboard-friendly and quicker to navigate.

Yeah, the Display driver just crashes. If it's able to restore then, well. It'll show a black screen since the DX11 client crashed along with your GPU driver.
I have this issue but, I'm using a 144hz monitor as my main, and 60hz as secondary. W10 with GTX 970.

So far, my PC just took over and everything is like on the Fly. It even eliminated that long boot I had at the beginning. I've been enjoying Win 10 and have no issues atm.
Always always... ALWAYS
Do a clean install if it's an option. Not just for this game because that shouldn't matter too much. Do it because it increases performance. Do it to phase out old unused programs, spyware, adware or viruses you may not be aware of.
Hell, do it to clean the registry up if nothing else.
Upgrades are for dummies, the computer illiterates.

Yep. Just had to upgrade to get that keycode. Soon preparing to do fresh install. People never should just upgrade no matter what MS says. It leaves a TONs of useless files behind to slow your system.Always always... ALWAYS
