its effort versus reward. If yuo dont want to put some effort, yuo ont get reward. clean and simple. Your point is, from what i see, yuo saw THM soloing NM you cant, so instead of thinking what i should do to do same with my favourite class/skillset, you want to destroy the current system , so he cant do it anymore.

I know its from other game... but kind of goes well with this discussion

No. This is not a category of Effort vs. Reward. There are people who cannot put in the amount of time that others can. Other people have jobs, you know. Other people that have far more important matters to attend to, such as children/school/chores/job. A lot of people are recreational gamers. You're basically telling them the same concept as your telling me. "Oh well boo-hoo that you can't play as much as me." or "Well it's your fault you don't want to play as much as me."

This current trend is rather dull and pointless for everyone to enjoy. Seems like only the people who can put hours upon hours into this game really like it.

personally i would never scorn anyone because they dun choose to level multiple classes. there are many people that i consistently play with that only have one battleclass and will not level another. they mostly do crafting or gathering in their spare time and only do battles when we do nm fights. that to me is perfectly fine to play that way. i only leveled thm because my ls is low on high ranked thm's so i decided to level it to help out when needed in that class. i agree that you should not get scorned if you only have one high class, but remember how long it took to level that one class and realize there are some of us that has had the time to do that multiple times. in my group one high class is all that's needed for nm's and we take alot of mages that are only 20's because we need all the extra healers we can get our hands on. i don't mind anyone leveling one class even if every other class was still sitting at 0 sp earned. i just hate that i took the time to do it and others that don't have the time or want to level other classes wants to take away the time i spent.

personally i think there should be alot more abilities in the guilds and less of this mind over matter stuff. you could learn the mind over matter while leveling and put more of the abilities in the guilds to buy. if you want to see crap go look at the thm guild and see the junk offered there. that is home base for that class and has absolutely jack to get as far as good abilities. that's where the class specific abilities should be is in the guild not abilities that are used for other classes. tell me why a thm would want to move its stats from int mind or pie to srt and vit. that's the kind of stuff you buy at the thm guild.

I rarely level battkleclaes for more than 2 hours, and do it usually only whe there are some people from LS to do leves together, for most of time i just wander around the game. Still i like it.

Yeah. I seen some abilities available for guild marks.....Not too happy about em....Now I wasn't saying you personally would hold scorn and judgement on those unable or unwilling to level other jobs. However this is not the case where others are concerned. Trust me, I was in the HNMLS endgame scene on Siren server....It's not a pretty site....They'll make fun of you and your job if it's not the way they want it to be.....Hell there was this complete ***hole named Doompie on that server who made fun of any Samurai that didn't use Haubergeon+1 as their TP mode build.....

I'm not saying reverting back to the old system will cure this disease. It won't. However it would probably instill more of this simply because the fact now doesn't rely on gear as much as leveling the class. I don't see why someone who levels a Maurader only shouldn't be among the top ranks and ability as those who level multiple classes. What I'm going to see in the future is a crack down on anyone who doesn't level certain classes to certain levels just for certain abilities. Trust me.

If only we had classes with key specific abilities that made the job just as unique. Here. Let me make a list of what abilities a Marauder could give away without losing it's uniqueness and still keeping it just as enjoyable to level as the others. Bloodbath, Defender I, Disorient, and maybe even Warmonger.(This one to Gladiator only) While giving away just these four doesn't break the foundations of a Maurader, but could also help other classes.

nobody that i know requires any other classes to level at all besides their main class. i do, however, give ideas on some things to do that will help you in different situations. this does not remove the playability of the other classes, but they have uses when you are on your main.

say you want to go to coerthas and farm antelope horns. these are items that would be nice to have in your main.
Cure II, Sacrifice II, Second Wind II, Shell, Protect, Shock Spikes, Skull Sunder II, Shrieker, Concussive Blow II. now by what you are proposing most classes have no ability to go and farm horns by themselves so you take that part of the game away from those people which is unfair to them. by being able to level multiple classes you can build your character to suit your needs which is what i prefer. if you want to use a class and only use the abilities for that class only on it then that is your decision.

what people don't get is the people that like this system is one of the reasons we are still in the game. we are not telling you how to play your game so please stop telling us how to play ours.

i know personally if they removed the option to customize my character and made me use some stupid premade class it will become just another crap game with no content so i would be one of the first people to leave the game even though i have hundreds of hours logged. do not punish the people that enjoy the game and put the hours into it to make the game more fun for them. i use the being able to make the class what i need it to be and take the time to level multiple classes to do that.

i agree with kimarhi on this one. most people who left the game are not fond of this system and i am included on this. there are still ways to go about farming since you can farm when your at the highest rank or farm with friends that also need the items if they are too hard to fight alone. they need to fix the quality of the classes i think. i would much rather they make the game that appeals to a broader version of ff fans than to keep the game in such a way that still prevents past ff fans from enjoying this game as well

sorry i forgot to mention the list of moves you have darkstar. to me its not a unique quality when i see a wide range of tier two magic cures and tier two physical moves on top of buffing spells. it looks like i might as well be a juggler since im using so many different abilities that are not my own. just dont like it. and from ff people i know they dont as well.

I'd love it if they scrapped current classes and redid them to be more "FF style" e.g FFV, Tactics, XI since the current setup even with "advanced" or "branch" classes you can still crossclass skills with a select few being exclusive -- that kind of kills off the whole point you know?

I personally would like to see some sort of traditional classes be implemented.

Hows this of an idea, at r50 you get a a few different paths to go down. Lets take Conjurer at r50. When I hit that I would like to be either a whm or a blm not both. When you take your path you get special bonuses to either healing or nuking. This can be implemented on all classes not just the mages.

Having us "graduate" to other classes seems vintage FF to me. I remember playing the older FFs and when I reached a certain lvl with my whm I became a wizard. Idk seems to me like something to work towards.
