    Yeah I suppose but you know there will be a lot of people who levelled CON to play WHM who would be pissed at such a thing. This is where I want to know how far SE will go. Are they willing to anger the few in to really fix the game and make it better in the long run, or will they try and put a plaster on it to try and not anger anyone but then we won't get true balance. Unless they come up with a way to keep everyone happy and keep balance within the classes.

    I'm speaking for just myself here, but really I don't see a difference right now between either of the two DoM classes. I've leveled every class (DoW & DoM) so far half way and really see nothing different about them all. I would much rather be pissed over a single job to relevel than the whole glob of them.

    Oh yeah I agree and I want them to make changes, BIG changes and I really don't care what they do as long as it makes the game better. I just hope SE are brave enough to make the difficult decisions that need to be made to get the game back on track, even if it means angering a section of the current players now for greater benefit in the long run.

    They are only going to have one chance to do this fix and if they do it wrong or half a job it will be a disaster for them, so I just hope they make the right one.

    Time will only tell. Only way I'll drop this game is if they somehow make it completely worse. Haha!

    Redesign all zones to be like The Black Shroud and remove map to make it more of an adventure ^^

    I'm pretty sure gift means that the original vision for this game was to create a role by the abilities you loaded on your bar as opposed to what your class says you are. Of course, whether or not that vision was a success or not is another discussion entirely. All in all, I think it was an original and interesting idea, and I really have to applaud SE for trying something new, but it really just doesn't work because it leaves the system too open and people just aren't sure what to do with it.

    Yes I agree with that, a lot of confusion comes from the fact that they changed the names for NA and Europe to give them more appeal but by doing that people expect them to now be actual classes and not just wielders of certain weapons. More confusion is then added when the same class can wield different weapons i.e GLA has swords and dagger's but most people would believe that those are 2 very different weapons and should not be classed the same.

    I also think the system is a good idea on paper but after playing with FFXIV from alpha testing I personally think it is not as good as having actual classes/job's so I wonder what changes SE will be prepared to make.

    I have to agree with gift here. I can't even count the number of times I got flack from people for subbing black mage on my red mage instead of white mage. Even when I tried to explain my reasons for doing so it didn't matter. People expected whm sub on rdm so that was just the way it had to be.

    I would like them to scrap the current class names and go with the traditional FF names. Gladiator is more fitting for Lineage, and rift, but seem out of place to me, being a long time FF player.

    Before I continue, my resume includes, FF 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 10-2, 11, 12, 13, 14, mystic quest(go ahead laugh), tactics and advanced 1/2, Dissidia if you count that.

    If they do add the traditional classes I hope abilities and traits are something like this.

    1. Weapon skills are tied to weapon, and there are some ws's that can only be used by certain classes.

    2. Weapons are no longer tied to classes. Let people just change classes now with the same prerequisite, i.e. in passive mode, and no one in party is engaging the enemy.

    3. Some abilities are tied to certain classes, likely being the staple abilities of each class, while the rest can be accessed by every class in the same manner as they are now.

    4. Traits are treated like abilities, except they are passive, of course.

    I really like how SE are being more vocal, and more importantly, I like how they are trying different things. I think this "catastrophe" may for them to stop and brain storm, maybe returning them to their forward glory, and if not, well, I guess I'll be gaming a lot less.
