I love when DRGs cry about their whopping TWO positional attacks. You lot would have a nervous breakdown if you tried to play Monk.

Dragoon has four now. The new two are random, meaning after you use your third combo attack you may have to attack from the rear for full potency or from the flank. It's still not really 'hard', but I don't personally don't find monk difficult either. Also, monk loses a lot less potency than dragoon or ninja when it misses a positional, but that's a complaint for another thread~
I'd much rather have one proc come off one combo and the other proc come off the other. Positionals never bothered me. Well they did when the positionals didn't let our combo continue back in the early days.
The hate on position required skills comes down to being on the right side of the enemy or boss to perform maximum DPS.
If the enemy or boss is constantly bein moved around or keeps spamming AoEs that force players out of position they lose their DPS rate fast and even faster if they can't get back into position to maintain their buffs.
MNK, for example, is very dependent on the Tanks ability to keep the enemy and boss still while at the sametime players must be able to predict when the boss would turn, move away, teleport, and etc or else they can't performt heir maximum dps on the right positions. With most enemies and boss fights in higher levels spamming AoEs like the 4th of July it isn't simple to keep enemies still enough.
Didn't say monk was hard. No dps in this game really is. But moving between flank and rear as needed is...really, really super easy. I just find the bellyaching over something so basic very entertaining.Dragoon has four now. I've been doing DRG for a while now. I usually play it cause it at least seems simpler than the other dps classes, in my little casual opinion, yep yep.
Makes sense, but really, i feel the 50% proc FaC and WT is a worse mechanic. I'm okay with those two moves being positionals, but 50% chance of either activating is making thing complex for the sake of being complex, and they should've been mapped to CT combo and HT combo like it was at the E3 demo.
MMORPG forums have taught me that all classes are dumb easy except for the one YOU play. That one is hard!
Can't we just agree that playing any class at maximum potential is tricky in different ways?
I know you didn't! I was half replying to the OP too because I'm sleepy and out of it.
Honestly, dragoon seems like it's in a much better place now that they lowered the potency gap on missing fang and wheeling positional. Before you lost 190 potency for missing, and now you lose 90. Still painful but not soul-crushingly so. :/
