I'm going for the weapon first. As a dps it should make the biggest difference in things dying faster. The main reason though is because i don't expect 3.1 until November so that's enough time to completely gear up with esoterics anyways so may as well get the weapon first. Yoshi said they are taking a break since heavensward released so don't expect the usual 3 months between patches. And if I'm wrong and it comes sooner you'll still probably only be short an accessory or two by then and will have gotten 2+ months of usage from the esos weapon.

I'm getting the weapon now because I like the look and it would be a upgrade to may weapon.

Also we don't know what will be required to obtaining the new Relic 2 so getting the weapon would be a safe method if the Relic 2 takes a bit long.

Not to mention we don't know what each Relic 2 weapon will look like as well so it is best to get a weapon look you like now rather than regret it later.

What's your proof that it won't happen till October or November. Because major patches usually happen 3 months apart not 4 or more. Last major patch was in June even though it was the expac release it was still a major patch. Three months from June is September not October or November. So it be September if they follow how they were going.
