While her tone could use improvement, she's not wrong.Could you be more rude? Maybe try and put yourself in someone else's shoes for one second. Maybe they unsubbed because they were unhappy with certain directions the game is going. Maybe they thought if they expressed their concern and/or provided constructive feedback something positive would change? Did you ever think of that? Or were you too busy insulting someone for saying they were unhappy with the game? Not everyone has to be a doormat.
The poster in question isn't being constructive. As stated in one of the posts above:
There's a difference between whining and constructive criticism. The latter is useful and appreciated. The former is not, and is the vast majority of what is spewed all over these forums.
Normally the people who are told to leave/unsub are those who are making radically stupid demands. Demands/whining that most likely will never be changed. So rather than trying to radically alter a game for a minority, it's a far better idea for them to go find a game that suits their needs/wants more.
Basically the poster in question falls into the unreasonable demands category. They want 1.0 mechanics for crying out loud...
Maybe i am too old, but when exactly did the attitude change from "i do hard content because its a challenge" to "i do hard content because the item i will get"?
We did hard content because we liked to have a 100% clear and experience ALL, so we did it just because we could and not because there is something we can get...
Now that we can enter old dungeons without sync it feels a bit nostalgic because we are doing highscores of lowest gear, lowest player count, fastest speedrun, most pulls and so on... its fun, its FREEDOME... I thought we are playing a game, but it feels like you are "working". Instead of enjoying the content you will get paid for it.
Exactly this. You can gear up every job with law gear. Combine this with dungeon gear, hunts and alex normal to make it faster. I mean, 160 gear rains on you for stepping in expert roulette. People need to stop assuming they need to gear up to BiS with every job during every patch and see, suddenly the game isn't so grindy anymore. Eso gear is just a bonus and later you can get it for glamour much easier. If you raid savage, get eso gear on your main (the job you get savage drops for) and law gear on your alts. Problem solved.Well you really dont even want the full set anyway as usually half of the pieces are poop and the best setup is mix of both eso and savage gear like it used to be in ARR. Now if you are not doing or planning to do savage then it doesnt even matter what you really wear as ilvl180 is overkill for dungeons and alex nm is also doable with it. Evenually eso cap will be removed and everyone can easily get them for glamours if they so choose.

The issue with this current set up is that even people not interested in the harder modes burn through the normal mode content way too quickly and are left with nothing to do. They can't just make the difficulty on normal stuff harder because that just locks it off and no longer makes it doable content, which has been the goto strategy in this themepark mmo genre for ages.
Really, they seem to need the following things to keep the majority of people playing:
1) Some kind of procedural generated dungeon / zone content for gathering and adventuring in.
2) Reward players for engaging in any activity in the game with relevant currency. The cap is irrelevant as much as if someone can still make upwards progression on their main class while working at something like crafting, gathering, Gold Saucer, etc.
3) Fix the roulette system. All that the wanted adventurer bonus has proven is that lo and behold, tanks are almost always needed. Give the DPS or healers a shot at 9k gil and 2500+ company seals for once.
4) Make harder mode dungeon / raids provide unique rewards, not outright superior ones to the ones available through currency. Higher difficulties are about proving ones skill, and there's nothing skill based about having your numbers increase and make the content faceroll easier. Save that for when the season is done and the next tier is set.
The current system they got may work for now, but it's going to go through the WoW entropy cycle that has been continuing onwards to this day.

First I suggest you read posts my original quote was in relation to a ther mmo telling you to level alts and how this one is basically saying the same thing due to lack of content.
The second quote was basically explaining why I feel this way.
Why is it all to common place for people to say "go play another mmo we don't want you here" whenever some one has a suggestion complaint problem or different play style. You sir might want to evaluate never posting on the forum again if that is your only suggestion or defence.
How exactly is doing every single HW msq and side quests as well as watching and reading every single cut scene and quest bum rushing the content. In fact while leveling I only did the required dungeons once and didn't grind any fates.
Lol then why aren't you working on alex 3 right now? Anyone who's pushed content week 1 fully understands the loot locks are going to be there. What would you even do if there was no lockout? "This game is boring I maxed my gear on my main" "this game is too grindy it's taking to long to gear all my classes" "gear doesn't do enough I still can't clear savage alex". If you don't like the model just don't play because it's not going anywhere.
Because YOU say there is NOTHING to do in THIS game. That is an outright lie. You just don't like it. There is a massive difference. You don't like grinding, MMO's are ALL grinding and that will never change because the nature of online games is to keep players playing behind lockouts to earn money. If you don't like that, then play a single player game like a Witcher 3 ect...The second quote was basically explaining why I feel this way.

You have your opinion, but don't claim this game has NOTHING to do because you don't like MMO Mechanics

I agree with you Tuathaa that the choice to play a game or not is up to the individual and someone else saying someone should or shouldn't play a game is being a bit crass.First I suggest you read posts my original quote was in relation to a ther mmo telling you to level alts and how this one is basically saying the same thing due to lack of content.

My Thoughts:
Truth is I'd like to see a system that can at least satisfy a nice middle core approach. Final Fantasy has been around for so long that many fans of the original classics are in the work world now, and really don't want to have to repeat dungeons over and over via roulette to get the best currency. If someone has two hours a night to do something, they aren't going to want to waste it on something like an old hat static dungeon they've seen a bajillion times, even if you pay them out the nose.
It's just, how do you argue with someone who has only ever been taught via previous games that harder raids always mean higher iLvL and that is the only legit way to get better gear?
