BIS EX makes no sense

I have attempted to win this event all day today. We always get to the last phase and then we die because the carapace dies too slowly. That carapace has WAY TOO MUCH HP.

Only players is raiding FC's can get it done. There is no point in players going back either because the loot sucks. So for players who are actually pretty good but not in these amazing raiding FC's, it leaves a few choices.

1) Wait until we get the 200+ gear that can be obtained fairly easily. Do a primal that gives an item 30 levels lower...

2) Buy a win. A lot have and will buy their win just to get rid of it. I don't think I need to explain how this support RMT's.

3) Not get it done. It's not an option for any serious player.

One of the worse effects of this is ostracizing players. To have a chance, you need players with higher level gear than this rewards and you need to be very picky on your DPS.

Or you know, you can clear it at around the appropriate level in a PF group of randoms, on a server known to have far from top notch players.

That's not even an option yet but it will be from what I hear....That's going to go over swell, I'm sure! Lower gear, people that you don't know who could have way worse play skills, classes like MCH in party who really need their dps adjusted (poor MCH)...what could go wrong?! ;p

So what do you want then? An "I win" button for people who are too unfortunate to clear it?

clearing bis ex or rav ex at this point in time is kind of a waste of your time. youre to late. within 13 days EVERYONE who is not stupid will buy the i200 eso weapon which outclasses rav ex weapons and makes both ex modes entirely useless except for future unlocking content. so farming rav ex is only useful until basicly next week. if youre still on bismarck by now chances are very small youll be able to get rav done 10 times before the i200 is available.

Pugged it at ilvl 165 as MCH. See if PF group will get in a VoIP for communication. This was 2nd week of the xpac.

@OP Can I ask what strategy you guys used to determine who went on his back? You went in teams of 4 or everyone on his back as soon as debuff wore off? I've had much better luck with teams of 4.

If you are referring to me.
For the group I was in, we did groups of 4. Mch/Drg/Tank/Healer and Blm/Blm/Tank/Healer. We had some misunderstandings and people went up at wrong times the first couple of carapace phases, so the island was closer to being destroyed than desired.

Both works but it depends on your members performance.

Can healer time the Dragonkillers so that the debuff will wear off a bit after Bismarck land? Or do they use it as soon as it's up?
Are your DPSs competent enough to finish off all the adds before Bismarck land?

I know, my point is that if the DPS aren't as geared or are worse at their rotations teams seem to work better. You can kill all the birds before they start attacking the island, which could give you one extra attempt at his back before he breaks it.
