it just means we all starts with slighty difference stat, like 16 str on roegadyns and 13 str on lalafells, but as they level up everything will be evened out among all races, everyone will ends at say 120 str on pugilist regardless race.

I guess in the end we will get 123str on roegadyns and 120 str on lalafells.

Keep in mind that in 1.20 we can allocate manually, so you could presumably put whatever str you want to your lala and roe within a range, which will be the same for the different races, except that starting stats will be different.

I'm concerned if it may lead to many cookie-cutter setups and expectancies to have specific gear or you're gimped. Pretty much may mean the only outcome if you're good or not is your gear.

What is the point of getting gear if it's not going to make you good? In a game where everything is under formula calculation, gears always play big roles.
These can be handled with dynamic contents where paying attention is needed of course, like CON that knows how to cure fast will always be better than the one that doesn't, but obviously you are going to get replaced by CON that heals as fast but, heals more (because of cure potency gear).

Hope it would not be like this. Should be CONs that hills faster but smaller, and CONs that hills larger but slower. These can be handled with dynamic contents where paying attention is needed of course, like CON that knows how to cure fast will always be better than the one that doesn't, but obviously you are going to get replaced by CON that heals as fast but, heals more (because of cure potency gear).

I really hope this wont happen, we all know what will happen at end game if this thing involve
and at end game it will be : you need to wear that gear or you suck/dont get party invite/nooob, and repeatWhat is the point of getting gear if it's not going to make you good? In a game where everything is under formula calculation, gears always play big roles.

Again, it will depends on how content is designed. But, i supposed you wouldn't know how current instanced dungeons works and just assume every fight will be like FFXI where everything is to be tank and spank method.
yeah this will happen, they said they want to build a more gear focused game somewhere
