Alright, first Sword Oath, it might be augmented by some stats, still it has a potency of 50 and as the skill says "Increases the potency of auto-attacks by 50". And on top of that, it doesnt effect anything else at all while Darkside increases ALL dmg by 15%.

My Problem about flash isnt the blind. its the amount of enmity and the costs to keep up your enmity on many enemys while a group is bursting AoEs for example.

Clemency, as i said before, while you're MT this skill cant be casted most oh the times since you get interrupted, and even if you're OT its your job most of the times to keep some people save from adds or something, not standing around healing. if a situation gets dangerous your ability to tank is of much more use than to heal.

Have you actually tried using Clemency? I MT for my raid group and cast it all the time while tanking bosses. Only time I remember being interrupted was by Blinding Blade in Ravana Ex.

The only advantage Darkside has is that you can actually use it while you are in Grit.
If I make any mistakes feel free to point them out. Also think the +15% damage might be better than RA example on GB, but even worse on RoH.
Comparing Sword Oath to Darkside: 50 Potency on every AA vs 15% damage increase on every hit.
My AA (at level 51, I doubt this changes significantly) hit for about half the damage one Fast Blade does, so I assume it's at about 75 Potency.
+15% damage would give your AA a boost of 11,25 Potency.

Now for Combos, if you spam Royal Authority you get 150 (FB) + 200 (SB) + 340 (RA) for a total of 690 Potency, or 230 per GCD.
Adding +15% damage to that you average 34,5 additional potency per GCD.
You get 3,6 AA inside one combo (3 GCD; 7.5s with no SS) with the Hive weapon (2.08 AA delay).
    +15& damage: One RA combo you get 690 + 103,4 potency and 311 potency worth of AA (3,6 * (75 + 11,25)). Totaling 1104,4 potency.
+50 AA pot: One RA combo you get 690 Potency and 450 potency worth of AA (3,6 * (75+50)). Totaling 1140 potency.

I don't know specifically for pld, but for dps classes auto attack generally accounts for around 15-20% of their total dps. I assume it's similar for pld. That means sword oath is basically a 15-20% dps boost. Remember pld has a fast auto attack so it adds up really quick.

you can generally get clemency off while being attacked. However it also shines when a boss goes to cast something. I use it to just help out the healers a bit most of the time. Boss does an aoe, cast clemency on either the target that needs it the most or the least likely to receive the first heal. Dps misses a dodge cast it, phase changes top people off. It doesn't make us a healer but it is pretty amazing having a heal that powerful that you can cast on anyone any time.
