Make this change to PvP (Frontlines) begin to work.

-> Remove the factions. 72 players spread by pvp ranking to balance the teams. Find 24 players in EACH faction takes too long...

Additional things that i want to see in this game: FFXIV already got the Events of GW2 (the FATES) So.. get the WvWvW from the GW2 too! GW2 is like FFXIV the PvP and PvE are totally separated, no duels, no PK... So get the WvWvW system.

You can use the faction system or not.. but there's a example:

You'll create a HUGE map with some castle/tower/boss siege system and put 3 respawns for each faction into a OPEN world (not a instanced map) were player will roam and make groups to complete the objectives and everyweek a winner faction will be announced and will reset the match. Will have one map/instance for each DATACENTER. Players will win PvP Exp and tokens for kills and objectives completed. Players level 30+ can enter and will be synced to a basic ilvl to be competitive.

Cons: Using the faction system the chances to have a Overpowered faction is HUGE.
Using the Server vs Server will break the FFXIV concept but will alow a competitive style with season championships.

Well. I hope u like. Thanks and Share your opinion.

P.S: If you dont like PvP, this topic isnt for you.

Well, apparently World of Warcraft is adding a Mercenary system to its PvP now, so hopefully Yoshida will once again just copy WoW, rather than listening to a consistent and logical suggestion from his own games community.

    The comments for anyone interested.

In an upcoming patch, we’ll be adding a feature that allows you to act as a mercenary for the opposite faction in PvP. Whenever your faction is experiencing a long wait time to get into Ashran or unrated Battlegrounds, agents of the enemy faction will appear in your base in Ashran (Stormshield for the Alliance, Warspear for the Horde). These agents will allow you to enter Ashran or Battlegrounds disguised as an enemy player, and actually fight as the opposite faction.

When you compete as a mercenary, you’ll still earn all the same rewards you would have by winning or losing as your own faction (with the exception of faction-specific achievements). You’ll also have your race automatically changed into one appropriate for the opposite faction while you’re still inside the Battleground or Ashran. Perhaps most importantly, however, you’ll experience much shorter queue times, as our matchmaking system will be able to fill up groups much quicker!

These are comments from another game. It seems that sometimes even the best hoped for PvP doesn't take off as you wish. Then you need to look for solutions to help the players that enjoy the content move forward. The real question is it Lore based decision or they hiding something they can't fix or won't fix.

That's hardly even in question. It's lore-based. They don't want to "ruin" their lore for the PvP, or even change it. There's no realistic technical/programming reason as to why this cannot be done unless the game's programming is terribly modularized.

You must be new here. They have made some bad design decisions along the way to this point. At this point it seems a more viable reason. The finder system has some serious flaws they refuse to acknowledge or discuss and that ha nothing even to do with GC's.

thats true, but the GC system is currently the largest factor in terrible queue times, not the issues with the finder system

Not as new as you might think.

As a programmer (in training, anyway), I know that there's a certain level of stupid decision making that must go into the design in order to back yourself into an unfixable issue as you suggested they may have run into. Nothing SE has done indicates that they're that bad even at their worst. They would have had to try their damnedest to break their grouping system so badly that they can't even change it to ignore GC requirements entirely. A programming or design issue with the queue/grouping system for Frontlines is very, very, extremely unlikely the reason they have not yet removed the GC restrictions.

Frontlines were introduced GC-locked. The explained lore practically requires it be that way. It's far more likely than anything else that the reason they haven't removed their GC restrictions for Frontlines is simply their desire to retain the current lore as it is. SE has always been big on their game lore, so it's definitely something I can see the company doing.
